It was very close to the Plaza de Armas bus station. Some very noisy guest were also there. Not the hostels fault. Private room a bit dingy.

The bed was not the most comfortable.

Location was excellent and super close to everything. Room was clean and air conditioning worked good. Beds were comfortable. The staff weren't friendly at all. The shower in our room was not great. Also be prepared to pay to store your luggage when you check out. That was a complete surprise.

The place has an excellent location, very close to the bus station Las Armas, and within walking distance to the centre of the Old Town. The bed was comfortable. I stayed on the ground floor and could hear all the noise from the street. Make sure you take earplugs.

Terrible experience, probably the worst I have ever had. We booked a night in this hostel because it was close to the bus station where we had to catch an early bus the next day. We booked the cheapest and were prepared not to be picky but what happened was beyond expectations. We arrived at 1.30pm (the check-in time is from 1pm) and were invited to enter the door near the reception, where you would expect to find a toilet for the hotel staff. The room was totally untidy, still being cleaned and then the man who greeted us - without apologising for the room not being ready - explained that we had booked the basic room he was showing us and that if we wanted a better room we would have to pay €10 more (€60 in total). We had a strong feeling that this was not a case but the hotel's usual strategy. He gave us the key to room 202 on the second floor, we had a look at it, it was still basic but at least it was finished and far enough away from the hotel reception, so we agreed to the change. We went to pay by credit card, but the man asked for cash. We were tired and again we agreed to pay without a receipt. We went out for lunch and returned to the hotel in the evening. As soon as we entered the room we noticed that even though the window was open it was hot and there was no air circulation. After checking outside the window, we discovered that it looked out onto an internal skylight with no opening in the ceiling, so no air could come in from there. We then switched on the air conditioning and put it on cooling mode, but the situation only got worse. We then spoke to the receptionist who came to the room to check. He explained that the cooling mode was not working, only the heating mode. We then asked to be moved to another room, but he replied that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available. We then asked for a fan, but there was none. We asked for our money back, but he refused.

AC didn’t work and no external window (only a window into a random room) so we were very hot in the night - apart from this it was good value for money.
