Break fast was good Because it was so hot I would have liked to have the window open but it was too noisy so near the main road.

The location We only stayed for one night and paid £130. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but for that price I did expect the accommodation and basic facilities to be of a reasonable standard. Unfortunately, the chalet felt very basic, dated and tired and, in my opinion, is in need of updating. The main issue was the toilet. Each time it was flushed, the water rose so high in the bowl that it looked as though it was going to overflow. It also had to be flushed several times just to get toilet paper to go down, which was quite unpleasant. Having subsequently looked through the reviews, I noticed that a guest raised a similar issue with the toilet back in 2024, which makes it particularly disappointing that we experienced this problem during our stay in August 2026. The chalet served its purpose for one night, but overall I didn’t feel that the condition or standard of the accommodation justified the £130 we paid.

Booking.com leapt a little ahead of me and published before I had finished. It's a pleasant little "old fashioned" B&B. Clean and comfortable, if in need of a bit of renovation ~ but I don't mind that. I've got a ceiling that needs repainting ( one of these days? ) Comfortable mattress. Breakfast was very nice. The biker idiots who use the Shaftesbury roundabouts as a bit of a run. We were all young once but the first evening I stayed it was b****y annoying. Not so bad on the second night.

Perfect location for us as we were attending an event nearby. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with an excellent home cooked breakfast including lots of fresh fruit.
