Magnificent International Hotel

Very hospitable and kind staff, attentive and informative. My room was cleaned every day and stocked up on water and towels. Cleaner was very kind and offered more water which was great considering it was quite hot in summer. It was very easy to check in and out, the location was also great, accessible to bikes, metro and cars. N/A

Excellent breakfast :)

Wifi intermittent. Worst when not in room but within the hotel. Aircon can only control fan level and the minimum is too strong.

Good location spacious room good shower and nice pillows Bed was slightly on the hard side but this is only a personal preference

Room was clean, location was good, there was a possibility to wash clothes at cheap price. Sound isolation from outside was not the best

Clean, and comfortable

Great value for money and excellent location close to peoples' square and yu garden. Rooms and the hotel overall was a bit dated, but beds were quite comfortable, bottles of water and tea was provide daily and staff was very helpful. Overall quite clean as well, even though I wouldn't call it spotless. The windows have almost no noise proofing, so you practically hear everything from outside. There was construction happening next to the hotel and we were up from 6am as soon as they started - and even when the weather was windy, we could hear the wind whistling all night!

Nearest Metro Station is : Laoximen Station ( Gate No. 1 ) - Line No. 10 Family Mart, Mc Donald's is 2 Mins. walking distance from Hotel. Nearby Attraction : People's Square - 10 - 12 Mins. walk and further connecting to Nanjing Road ( the Main Shopping Attraction for Shopping and Food ).

Comfy and big room

I liked pretty much everything there, staff, clean and comfy room with nice view, although window is not clean. Food was good, everything as expected Dirty windows is the only issue, everything else was really good. You could ask staff for anything you need, would come here next time as well

we stayed at the beginning and then our last 2 nights, alas the last 2 nights were not offered free breakfast as we had 2 weeks prior, very disappointing as breakfast was so nice, sad the coffee machine broke down, this is the 3rd visit to " The Magnificent International Hotel' over 25 years, and it was still Magnificent to stay in offer of breakfast , acknowledging we had stayed there , on other occasions where breakfast was included

Nice location next to Xintainty. A preferred area.

Thr bed formation and the location The wifi … very very bad

Absolutely central location, right next to a few mega malls and two major subway stations. Great value for a city-Center stay! The facilities are good but definitely not luxurious. The room fridge makes a lot of noises so we had to unplug it during the night.

Washing you might find challenging a bit.

We were disappointed to find that a massive area of housing around was empty, the people gone and the buildings apparently destined for demolition. The first visit was in a Deluxe Family room with breakfast. The room, on high floor facing the back of the hotel, was large, clean and quiet, if just a little bit tired. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was very high quality. Breakfast was perfectly adequate even if the coffee machine was out of order on the third morning. The second visit was in a Deluxe Twin room that was on a lower floor than the previous one and faced Xizang Rd, hence a little bit noisey. It was tired and not so deluxe. However the beds were also very comfortable and the bedding was very high quality. The room also had two things that probably 9 out of 10 other hotels do not: 1) TWO chairs and 2) a luggage rack with sufficient space for two bags.
