Receptionist with very bad attitude. Not helpful at all

At first we see the picture it was so good with Muji concept design but… the panels for toilet made from glaze, it transparent !! When someone sit on the toilet you’ll see ? Transportation

The location was great - down an interesting little alley. The hotel looked just like the photos - cosy, contemporary, clean and very well designed. Everything you could possibly need (including a full bath) was arranged very effectively and efficiently in a small space. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, our great first impressions were completely undermined by an awful and overwhelming smell of mould. It didn’t take much looking to find a huge mould patch behind the curtains, and we suspect there was probably more in places we couldn’t access easily. Consequently, we had an awful night’s sleep, in spite of the comfortable bed. We could wait to get out of there in the morning, or to wash our clothes that had absorbed the awful smell!

I had issues checking-in at late hours. Even tho I arrived during listed check-in hours, I had to ask someone to contact property owner by phone. Check -out hours from listing also were not accurate (1pm vs 6pm)

Very nice and and accessible location, not far from subway stations. Small shops, restaurants and stores directly on the street. But also located in small dead end street so very quiet for such large city. The host is great and uncomplicated , very much appreciated

The lady at the reception does not speak any single word in English and surprisingly, even if my payment was supposed to be taken by my credit card, the hotel does not accept common credit cards so you need to pay by cash or WeChat.

Location and shops right at the entrance of the place. Lady attending the place is really lovely, even though she would usually say she doesn’t know anything or can’t help much. There is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner for use, as well as water tap filter in the room I booked an extra night stay as my flight was due to arrive at 6am in the morning. There were delays at the airport and when I arrived slightly before 10am, the attendant told me she almost cancelled my booking. I went out for lunch and came back to some repairs being done in my room (said was a moldy wall), my things which were on the desk was moved and everything else was covered. Nothing was missing but I wasn’t informed that someone was coming to my room. I asked for another room to rest temporarily and was offered the sofa of another room. Woke up and wanted to take a shower, no hot water to shower, in the hot summers of June in Shanghai. In fact there wasn’t hot water throughout my whole stay. Raised this to the owner, who said he will call me back but he didn’t for the 2 weeks I was travelling around China. Room curtains was also quite dusty and had hair on some surfaces (as per pic) Angle of pictures makes room looks bigger than it seems

The location is great. The air conditioning works well. The staff is very unfriendly and doesn’t speak English. There were problems with the payment and the communication. A family room doesn’t have enough space for 3 persons (even though you have to pay for 3).

no breakfast provided ...bed & pillows comfortable ...shower ok but took 10 minutes for water to get hot most things could of been better ...Women at reception no English , had to walk up 3 flights of quite dangerous stairs with heavy suitcases( FEMALES would never of made it) i had arranged room with bath ... no bath room tiny , no fridge had to walk down stairs to a shared fridge ... location not the best

great place good value I stayed there as a foreigner just have to self register. came in late at night they gave me a code to open locker hanging next to front door with my room key in it. if you don’t speak Chinese this place might be challenging. nice they have shared kitchenette can make your own food didn’t clean room every day but was ok

the location of the hotel is perfect with only 2 minutes away from a metro station. Many cafes, restaurants for locals and fruit shops nearby. In the first two or three days there was a problem with the hot water device and therefore no hot water (only lukewarm after letting the cold water run for 10 minutes) was available. laundries must be dried inside the room. the washing machine worked fine but not its drying function. we were lucky to get a drying rack from the employee because another guest happened to have checked out and didn't need that anymore. never figured out how other long-term guests dry their clothes. after the hot water problem was fixed, we found out that there was no cold water from the tap at the sink, which left us no way to regulate the water temperature, as long as hot water reaches the tap. In the room there was sometimes sound of machine coming from no idea where, out of our control, but ok, didn't bother much.

Central location Very small room for a family of 4; sofa not suitable for sleeping; stuff do not speak anything except Chinese; reception desk most time empty. Very disappointing.

Disappointing

Very clean and minimal. It was pet friendly. The kitchen has everything for cooking. There was no lift. staff did not help with baggages.

Good location. It's a converted lane house inside a residential block, with just 12 rooms. You can hear every neighbors every whisper. In the morning people get up early and it's impossible to sleep beyond 6-6:30am. The bed was okay, but the bedding was poor. The shower has only two settings: boiling hot or freezing cold, and for the hot water to flow need to wait 5-10 min. No storage space at all, all the drawers are decorative.

The bed was comfortable. I stayed in two different rooms. The first room was smaller but had a normal shower, the second room was larger but the bathtub was next to the bed, and had no options for a standup shower. The toilet did not flush properly, but they ended up replacing the toilet during my stay. The most difficult part was really the heater; room always had a damp smell if I turned on the heat, so I would keep the windows open throughout the night. One of the nights, there was a party going on next door until 3am, someone was SCREAMING AND LAUGHING for hours. Finally, check in was stressful, as there was no one at the desk when I arrived around 7pm. I was stuck outside of the building with all my luggages, and I had to use roaming on my phone to call booking.com and finally the hotel messaged me back to give instructions on how to open the key box and enter the building. I booked this hotel for an entire month to settle into Shanghai, but I checked out 10 days ahead of time. The location was excellent though.

Location was ok There was no hot water The studio room is drastically smaller than it looks. Beware the fish-eye lens! The bathtub is right next to the bed. The couch had been torn up by "a previous tenant's pet" The staff were not helpful at all when we asked to leave, saying to "contact our booking platform". They didn't seem to care whether we stayed or not or what the problems were.

very clean. kitchen and refrigerator available for simple things. very easy to find. easy to get to the Center and easy to find coffee shops and restaurants. pillows were not firm. water was not hot, but the hotel did warn us about that.
