True Go Hotel - Shanghai Jing'an Temple Nanjing West Road

Hotel, location and the rooms are just great. Latest technology. I got Superior Double and my room was amazing. Also its view was great. One of the best rooms I stayed recently. DND fee & the staff... 1 - DND Fee: When you pay with card, it asks you to pay either in USD (or your home currency) or in CNY. As you know, if you click on home currency, they charge you %5 extra. So I'd always choose the local currency. But their machine chooses USD automatically in 5 seconds. So it cost me %5 more just because the settings of their machine. 2- The Staff: When I explained them the situation, showed them the charge on credit card, and asked for their help, they were pretty 'annoyed' with me. Even though there was no single customer waiting. They just wanted to be 'done'. They claimed that it is my bank's fault. Once they refunded, and charged me again, I chose the CNY. And they were surprised to see that the charge was lower this time! I asked them if I can report this, so they can change it for the future guests, they pretty much did nothing. I told them that I should report this to their manager or I'll write it on Booking.com, guess what, they preferred that I write it on Booking.com. (Also all these are happening on Google Translate since no one speaks English)

Although we booked superior room it was too small.

Very good location, nice staff, very friendly and helpfull.

Great quality for the price (April 2025). The room was decent in size, modern, pleasant decoration and good quality of amenities. They provide some extra soft drinks and water every day, which is a nice gesture. the staff is friendly and will try to help. The location is very convenient, although not super close to a metro station. The gym is in a different building, across the alley. Not a big deal, but this makes it less accessible. The washing machine has no clear instructions in English.

However, it's quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, which was nice. Location was alittle far from Jing'an train station - about 8 mins walk.

Lovely staff, super friendly, upgraded our room, helped with the luggage:) Glass walls in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but might be something worth reviewing during next refurbishment:) Also some teaspoons, sugar to have with tea, small plate to get the tea out would be useful!

Non 9f the staff speak English. Not even one word!

Very good location .Freindly n helpful staffs. Nearby got alot of shopping malls n eatries n cafes. Waliking distance to alot of restaurants. Opposite the hotel there is a cafe named Marmalade . Great coffee n a hair Salon named Jane. Very gd. Got free laundry which was very helpful since we stayed for 9 nights. Eventhough there was one washing machine n one dryer n sometimes u have to wait ur turn. There are clothes steamer available too. Hairdryer was powerful. The cleaning of the roo.m was ok except the floors was not vacumn properly. But is a small problem
