Tonight Homestay East Nanjing Road Shanghai

Location is close to bund but the building itself is not in a great area. The entrnace was a little scary as it looked like an office building and off to the side. More of a local residence maybe. It was a bit scary for our family arriving after dark. The hallways were dim and rundown and did not feel safe and secure. The room itself was well lit but not exactly like pictures. The place was worn and not clean. Hair and bugs and a bad smell from the bathroom. The host was really friendly and great communication and offered airport car service which was nice. This could work if you're not expecting spmetning clean and not traveling with kids but also not super low budget. We prioritized kitchen and laundry but regretted it shortly after checking in. The buildong was not ideal, hallways with dark corners and everything looked a little old poverty stricken. The apartment room itself was cheaply updated with a modern touch as shown in photos. However the bathroom smell was overwhelming and the place was very dirty with bugs and hair on sheets and surfaces. Wish there were closer food options and convenience nearby. By people's square walking down to mall and food and shops was more ideal for our family needs.

Team on chat was willing to resolve issues. They were very supportive but issues were beyond resolution. Our stay at this hotel in Shanghai was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. The rooms were far from comfortable and did not feel properly cleaned or maintained. We noticed bugs in the room and flies around the space, which made the entire stay unpleasant and unhygienic. The mattresses were very bad and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get any proper rest. The kitchen area was also poorly maintained and did not meet basic cleanliness standards. The washrooms were another major issue, as they were not clean, had an unpleasant smell, and clearly needed much better upkeep. Overall, the condition of the property was far below what we expected, and it felt neglected in many areas. Instead of a relaxing stay, we had to deal with discomfort, poor hygiene, and a lack of attention to detail throughout the hotel. Based on our experience, I would never recommend anyone to stay here. There are much better options in Shanghai, and this property should be avoided.

The exterior of the building is a bit old

This accommodation boasts impeccably clean apartments with a kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The 23rd-floor location offers stunning views of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Huangpu River. The housekeeper is available 24/7 and promptly delivers bottled water if needed. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful. This was our favorite accommodation in Shanghai.

everything. the staff are scammers. the pictures did not do justice, everything was old, dirty, not well maintained, and broken. the staff tried to overcharge me, scam me, and are incredibly rude. do not ever, stay in Tonight Homestay properties. scammers

The apartment is super cozy, spacious and in a great position! Definitely recommend to others and friends! Will come back if in Shanghai again!

Beautiful balcony view! The communication was very easy, very fast and friendly. The beds were comfortable, water hot, and great location. It would have been nice to have some coffee, salt and pepper for guests. Getting in through the facial id never worked so we had to go through the basement area to bypass it. Felt kind of sketchy.

Nice room. Bad smell. To be fair, the owners offered to change the room but we were there for just a day so didn’t bother changing. The gutter were smelly and the smell spoiled the whole atmosphere. The staff came to put showers over the drains but it didn’t help

The room is big and perfect for a family trip. The best part is the location, which is very convenient for shopping, eating and shopping.

The boss provides good service and even prepared a Shanghai guide. I followed the guide to eat and it was delicious. There is a washing and drying machine that is very practical.
