The room and staff were lovely. However it was about 30º in the room. There was a fan which was a life saver though.

Nothing to like other than the friendly guy on reception. We didn't stay because the room was in an absolutely disgusting condition. The moment we walked in we were hit with a strong, unpleasant smell that made the room feel unclean straight away. As we looked around, it became obvious that cleanliness had been completely neglected. The bed was covered in stains and hairs, and every part of the room we checked looked dirty. We didn't feel comfortable sitting on the bed, let alone sleeping in it. We ended up leaving immediately and paying for another hotel because we couldn't justify staying in a room in that condition. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had, and it's unacceptable that a room like this was considered ready for guests.

Great location, clean Don’t book this hotel in peak summer. No aircons in the rooms it was honestly unbearable to the point it made me sick

Nothing The whole company is a joke. After arriving after 10pm we arrived tired with a baby and myself being disabled, we got informed the lift was out of order and all rooms are on floor above onwards. This was a Monday evening and the lifts had been out of service since the Saturday. I was unable to get to room. 2 men on reception said they couldn't help and as I have booked with booking.com and paid them I would have to contact them for a refund. So we ended up stranded late at night after finding a hotel that time of night that could take us we finally arrived at midnight but had to travel from Sheffield to Doncaster! Booking.com informed me that without the hotel confirming and returning booking to them they couldn't refund. I messaged hotel myself many times and could not get any direct help or an answer. Booking.com encounted same issue but eventually had a response saying that they have me as staying that night!!! So would not refund. Absolutely disgusting messages I have from them are full of apologises ect then they say this. So it ended up a very traumatic and tiring night and very very expensive as we had 2 rooms booked here, then had to travel to Doncaster and pay for another 2 rooms at Premier inn. I still cant believe for a melia hotel this one runs like that

Rooms very spacious Dog biscuit on the floor in our room, paid for a larger bed and got given 2 singles pushed together. We then asked for the room we booked and they changed it with ease but it was the same - just 2 beds pushed together just the other way around so both of our bums were slowly falling down the crack through the night which was very uncomfortable.

Rooms where very clean and comforable The temperature inside the room was vey hot. We had the window open full with a fan provided running on full. The fan want the best and didnt cool us down much so sleep wasnt the best

There was no air conditioning in the room. A fan was provided, which was appreciated, but it was a little too far from the bed to be very effective for me personally.

Ok. Choice ok. Rooms very spacious. Staff helpful. Not much fruit at breakfast.
