One of the worst experiences in Central Coast hotels. The person at the front never smiled, never said even hello. Charged us $40 per night pet fees, that was not advertised in the stay charges. Demanded that pet fees $80 for both nights) had to be paid in CASH. There are no requirements for any hotels to pay in cash unless you are pocketing and not declaring that income. But the worst of it was a room, smelling like a bottle of cheap cologne was poured all over and a noise level from the freeway and busy road next to it kept us awake all night. Result - we paid for 2 nights and left the very first morning, loosing money on the second day. My first review of hotels btw, and I am a world traveler. Please take a note.

It was great for one night. Everything worked as it should, parking wasn’t an issue.

I loved this little place. It was simple and clean. I liked the parking (right in front of our room) The hotel is just a short drive to everything in Pismo. No big bells and whistles but nice and clean and a really comfortable bed!

Good location! The property was not well maintained! Dirty floors, bathrooms, holes in walls… overall just very old and ran down.

this place is tiny but affordable and awesome for Shell Beach. a good place to crash for night along the way.

Clean and spacious rooms, great location and excellent value for money. Shell Beach Brew House is right next door for great food and friendly atmosphere! I would recommend the Palomar Inn and would definitely stay there again, if I’m back in the area.

The location was good. The pictures on the website were deceiving. The room was small and many things were not maintained well. The shower head was not fully functional and the drain was extremely slow. The wires for the mirror were taped with scotch tape and did not stay up. One of the windows was broken on the top, not the glass but the part holding the glass. The room had a strong overpowering chemical/disinfectant smell. Checking in was strange. There was a person there to check us in but she handed the phone to us to talk to another person. We had tried to contact the property on several occasions before staying and never received a response.
