Days Inn by Wyndham Shenandoah

The problems started at check-in. My fiancée's name was on the reservation, but the front desk would not allow her to pick up the room key. Ironically, I wasn't even listed on the reservation to receive a key, even though I was staying there too. It took unnecessary time and frustration to get that sorted out. Once we got into the room, things only got worse. The air conditioner wasn't cooling properly. The floor near the restroom felt weak, almost like you could fall through it. There were no blankets in the room, and the overall condition of the room was poorly maintained. The next day, after returning from my conference, my fiancée and I came back to the hotel together. We had only been given one key card, and it didn't work. We had to walk all the way back to the front desk to have it reprogrammed before we could get back into our room. By that point, I was beyond frustrated. To make matters worse, the room only had one set of towels, a half-used roll of toilet paper, and one extra roll sitting on top. The room simply wasn't stocked or maintained the way it should have been. Overall, this was the worst stay I've ever had at a Days Inn. Between the reservation confusion, malfunctioning key card, poor room condition, and lack of basic amenities, I cannot recommend this hotel. I will not be staying here again or patronizing this location in the future.

We arrived and were given a lesser room than what we paid for. The room smelled and was dirty. The staff was not helpful at all. We left and had a great experience at a different hotel.

To get ice you need to get the employees to get it for you, which is annoying. They would also disappear from the front desk frequently. Was a long line of people waiting to check out. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place just because the cleanliness is one of things that’s hard to look past, irrelevant to the price. If you can’t trust the bed why stay there?

Clean quiet and nice staff

We did not end up sraying ar this hotel. We ended up having a medical wmergency. I figured a 3 star rating was good for all.

Wow, you get what you pay for. I understand this but damn…. The amount of dead cockroaches and the air conditioner covered in dead flies was shocking. The bathtub looks like it was transported from a crack house. I actually slept in clothes on top of the bed because everything just felt dirty. They should give you plastic booties so you can walk around the room on the carpet (it’s disgusting). Don’t believe me? Wait until you pull up, and you’ll know. It’s completely dark like it’s been abandoned, and the parking lot looks like Baghdad. The pool is something out of a Stephen King novel- not that anyone is looking to swim in a cheap motel, but it just feels like you’re now the main character in a scary movie that you’ve been saying “don’t go in there”!!

That being said the condition of the property, in general was not as the photos showed. The room did not appear clean, there were no tissues, no ice bucket, only one towel. It was a smoking room, and there was no ashtray. There was also no ice machine. I had to get ice from the front desk. There was also no facility for early check in as is the case with most properties. On the positive side, my request for another towel, ice, and ash tray were taken care of quickly by the Staff. On the whole, it was a very disappointing experience.

Room was clean but very old, carpet frayed! Bathtub looked dirty but looked the same after the maintenance guy came and tried to clean it! Finish home on the tub! The front desk guy was nice, and the laundry/ maintenance guy! The best part was it was close to the hospital! I’m surprised it’s a Wyndham hotel 😵‍💫

Looked like door had been kicked in, walls had damage all throughout the room and bath. Microwave looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever. Old dried spilt food. Cabinets broken. Bugs everywhere. Air conditioning barely kept the room at 75-78 degrees. Towels dirty no wash clothes. Worst place I’ve ever stayed at

Linens had human hair, wifi was very poor. Breakfast was not good. But the staff were very helpful. Parking was enough and of course they had a swimming pool, but didn't use it.

The Mattress Was Badly Sunken, The Mirror Was Dirty, The Bathtub Did Not Drain, The Walls & Carpet Were Dirty.
