Comfort Inn Sioux City South

The Sioux City Comfort Inn was substandard at best. First thing I noticed as I checked in was a sign on the desk saying they don't allow locals to stay there because of past "problems"; clue #1 as to how the night would go. Next thing I noticed was the side door we used to bring our stuff in had the door latch taped with package tape to keep the door from locking; it stayed that way all night I guess because it was still taped up in the morning. The carpet in the hallway was stained and wrinkled up, and it looked like a pipe had burst at some point and they didn't bother to fix anything. My wife also noticed they did not have complimentary coffe in the lobby, probably due to the "past problems" with locals, I guess. Then my wife tried to use the iron provided in the room and it spewed brown, coffee-like water on her white pants. The room was okay as was breakfast. The water pressure was great though, but expect to get sprayed every time you wash your hands if you're not careful. For $100 a night I can live with it for one night, but if you can shell out a few more dollars I'd highly recommend it.

I am surprised once again with Comfort inn. This is the third time staying and the beds are so comfortable and rooms are clean. Breakfast had many options. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Great stay

Love the staff they are very friendly with me and my kids and it’s just need updates on a lot of things but my kids and I really like the staff

The room was in much need of repair. The light above bathroom vanity was burnt out. The shower rod was barely hanging on the wall.

No guest laundry, the hallways were dirty, the side door would slam shut and cause dogs to bark.

Property very run down. Rooms were more updated than common areas and clean. Breakfast was sub par. Less and less to choose from as the week went on. Not much parking for large vehicles.

The basics were all good. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, good breakfast, friendly staff. The building is old and dated. The entrance is unwelcoming and delapidated. Has two floors and no elevator! When I winced about hauling my suitcases up the stairs, he immediately switched us to a first floor room. It was ok for just one night, but I think I would rather pay a little more for a nicer ambience.

Nothing it was terrible I was a local so they wouldn’t let me stay. Even though I booked on booking.com. I had made the reservations well in advance. I was moving from one property to another and had nowhere to go. I will never book with comfort inn again and neither will any of my friends or family

Rooms weren’t bad but the rest of the hotel is horrible. The whole rug in the hallway was moldy and the hallway is dark. Due to not wanting kids around the mold we left and got a room somewhere else without even saying anything and taking a loss.

For the price, the room was updated and clean. The bed and pillows comfy. The lobby & hallways outdated, but for what we paid it was great. Good breakfast too.

No warning that jetted tub was not working but awesome breakfast and staff.
