Town & Country Motel

The staff was nice. The room was clean. We were just passing through so we only needed a place to sleep

Rate but you get what you pay for! Rooms were unfinished, i.e. holes in the bathroom walls. Not clean!

Staff was extremely rude, unprofessional and needs to prioritize customer services. Robert is very arrogant! Should not be managing that property. Everything was gross

I was happy with the price, comfort and convenience of the room. The room was clean with no bed bugs, and the towels and sheets were fresh and nice-smelling; my bed was freshly made every day. The customer service at the front desk was great, he gave us suggestions as to where to eat in town and the Indian restaurant was fantastic. The guide to the TV that came with the remote control was accurate. This motel is NOT in a "seedy" part of town; the external appearance of the motel makes it look not quite like a Hilton (it's kind of crazy to expect better from the lowest-cost hotel/motel in town) but the rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. Directly across the street are no less than 4 houses with occupants who own pretty nice SUVs, and those houses are well maintained. The entire street looks like a typical small-town middle-class neighborhood. On both Friday and Saturday nights up until about midnight some kids were rumbling down the street in their souped-up pickups, but that could happen on any street in town on the weekend. It's a middle-class neighborhood, NOT a run-down area of town. The motel has friendly service and it's clean. For what I paid it was a good deal. It took about 3 or 4 minutes for the hot water to the shower to really kick in, but it kicked in and I took the shower with no problems. Also, I had to turn the heat on to my room when I arrived because it's spring and the days are hot compared to the nights, which are still a bit cold. But after an hour or so the room was reasonably warm for the evening and night.

I booked a room for 2 people and I was not told there are no guests allowed. Why would I get a hotel where I can't have guests. Yes it was a nonSmoking room and my guests did smoke but they were first approached by a man with a bad temper and he threatened them and told them to leave or they would call the police. My guests were to stay with my car while I worked on getting my second car back to the hotel. When I returned the door was locked and I was asked to pay money for fines and leave. My guests broke the rules. But I am homeless and was kicked out to the street. They kept my deposit and are charging me 150 for smoking fee. I understand yes but this was not necessary. What is the deposit for? I was thrown out and they kept my deposit and are charging me $150.

The bed was comfortable. Rooms are outdated. Rooms are muck smaller than what the website shows.

Great price good workers honestly 10/10

The man who checked us infor the night charged us a 100.00 cash deposit (was originally told 50.00) and then next morning at checkout refused to give us our 100.00 back, said room smelled like marijuana. Wouldn't allow us in the room to figure out what he was smelling. He made a scene and so did we, but nothing resolved. We are a retired couple passing through town, our first and ONLY time in Iowa on our way to Thanksgiving. We will not recommend this motel or frankly, Iowa. We came to town to get ripped off for the holidays! We're telling everyone about our experience. What a Shame! Wrongly accused of smoking marijuana so he could keep our cash deposit of 100.00. Rude, rude man at front desk!

The tiles on the wall in the bathtub fell out of place and almost injured my spouse

I need to get refunded because that staff kicked us out with his rude attitude . I thought I would get 100 back because I haven’t damaged anything before kicking us out .

More towels

They had no non-smoking rooms even though the website said it was non-smoking.

It was a good experience with desk clerk. Very nice and quick check in Room was not clean, sheets had hair on them and bath room shower had mold. There was someone's sock under the bed. And not vacuum at all.. food from last guest still in fridge.. I was so upset

Bed was brand new and very comfortable. Had old but serviceable appliances. Okay for a quick overnight. It’s in a little bit of a dicey neighborhood and they do rent by the hour also, which always gives me pause. Interesting characters lurking about but no incidents.

Nothing This place was totally trash , got a little blood on a blanket and these guys took my 50 dollar deposit and charged my card an extra 40 dollars illegally

Nothing The room smelled like stale smoke, loud neighborhood at night, the website said it accommodated hot breakfast in the morning, when that was asked about they said that was a misprint. And the picture of the motel looked nothing like the ad. The Inside & outside was very out dated. If we were able to cancel and get our money back we would have, but it said no refunds. We stayed 2 nights and I'll never go back there again. I don't recommend this place at all to anyone
