The room was a very quiet and comfortable place to come back to for the night after a day exploring Sofia. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was sufficient. The owners were very nice and chill, always just hanging out in the cafe downstairs. Just a couple streets away from the “center” of Sofia, we walked everywhere. I liked the vibe and aesthetic of the place too! The wifi didn’t work too well — we ended up just using our personal data instead. The amenities were a little out-dated, but that’s to be expected for the price and it wasn’t anything non-functional. There was always a faint smell of tobacco, since the downstairs cafe/lobby is always full of cigarette smoke, but we requested a non-smoking room and it wasn’t overpowering.

location was ok within walking distance of bus station which is why we chose it. place was quiet run down and frankly quite dirty. We went to the bar on our arrival and sat at a glass topped table which was the cleanest out of two available but still with ash and other dirt. The room was no better. The carpet was covered with bits of fluff, dirt etc; The bathroom was no better and very dirty toilet seat and surround, and half a toilet roll on the holder. The shower was some sort of massage thing with the controls broken off so clearly non functional and as there was no soap, etc it was pointless to use it. The room windows were a circular shape adorned with vertical blinds. A number of them were missing and the balcony door had virtually non making it impossible to get undressed in privacy as the room is overlooked from across the street. Also the street light shone in the room all night due to the broken or non existent blinds. Overall we felt it was not cared for by the family owners and a simple few tins of paint would work wonders.

Location and free parking. Strong cigarette smell in the room, sheets also smell on cigaretts. We were with 5 months baby and was not nice. The bed was with whole, we got. Low back pain and we dodnt sleep. They gave us wrong wi-fi password and they told is yes it is that. So we didn't have internet. The only nice thing was the free parking.

There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. I thought that was part of the description., I may be wrong. The bed was really comfortable, the staff were so friendly and obliging. The shower room was clean and more than adequate. There was a switch to turn the bathroom fan off, which was a bonus. Breakfast was a pizza, it was a first for me, but quite tasty. That was all there was. it’s a bar downstairs that does tea and coffee. Though they did have English breakfast tea, which was really very pleasant. The staff are the strength of hotel milenium, nice people. No English speaking member of staff. I found the language barrier daunting. My fault I don’t know any Bulgarian. However, the receptionist captured an English speaking Bulgarian gentleman off the street, as he was walking his dog. Who did a wonderful job of interpreting for myself and the lovely receptionist. Thank you kind lady, for ordering me a taxi. I appreciated you very much.

It was absolutely fine during our whole stay in the hotel. Greetings to the friendly host who was really positive and communicative. Despite the bad reviews on Booking, we didn’t notice anything unpleasant during our short stay. Maybe we were lucky to get a good room or maybe simply the service got improved. ☺️
