Hotel Casona de Hermosa

Simple but with choice

A lovely place, but we were initially cold and had no control over the heat in the room. We took a walk to the alternative parking and Mrs Coe slipped over on the crazy paved path which had lichen on it. We know the owner is not responsible for the path but someone needs to take responsibility before someone really hurts themselves.

We chose this hotel for the easy access to Cabarceño animal park. Excellent breakfast, small honesty 'bar' available ( a little expensive). Great terrace. Only slight downside was the owner/manager lack of English, or should it be our lack of Spanish, but we managed. There are only two car parking spaces available directly at the hotel - there are about six more available just a few minutes walk away. Unfortunately the restaurant just around the corner was closed the weekend we were there. We ate at Bar El Rojo in Pamanes every day - the friendliest bar we have been to in Spain.

Its a dream to stay in such place. Beautiful spanish home. Very well decorated. The room very clean and well setup. All necessaries availble. Very quiet place to have a complete rest. Breakfast was sumptuous. Everything was perfect and on top of this Stefan the host was great and very helpful. Will definitely book again if opportunity comes around.

Exceptional place. Breakfast was wonderful. Host was pleasant and gave great tips for the surrounding area. Would highly recommend. The only restaurant in town was closed during the week. Only opened on the weekend.

This hotel was fantastic! An old house in a lovely village with spectacular views surrounded by a well kept garden. Upon opening the front door, we were assailed by the beautiful smell of beeswax polish. Our key was waiting for us on the table and there was lemon water and glasses in the hall. Full of interesting collections and pictures. Fab room with balcony covered in geraniums - just perfect! Booking in at the larger Hotel Miera in the adjacent village was no problem and the concierge was helpful and friendly. Nothing!

Beautiful house, lots of character and charm, immaculately cared for. The mattress was very uncomfortable, made sleep difficult. The bathroom tap drips and there are rust marks on the bathroom radiator. Bathroom, bit dated!

Nice breakfast and great location for area exploring by car. Personally I would have preferred a double bed with 2 single duvets - too old for spooning.
