Grand Hotel Capodimonte

Just take into account you have to get to the hotel by taxi from the port which is around 30 euros. Walking to the hotel from there is rather difficult with bags. There is a bus but you had to do a connection - so better the taxi.

great view if you got a room with a view, otherwise the view of a brick wall was not that interesting! We booked 2 rooms and got one with an excellent view and one that was terrible yet the price was almost the same. Most of the staff were great, with the exception of the front desk staff that would not help find me another room with some sort of view rather than a brick wall, it seemed as though it was too much trouble for them. We only came to Sorrento to enjoy the view so it was very disappointing to have to pay so much and not have a view. The breakfast was great, the pools, restaurant and food were excellent. Cost of the accommodation was very expensive and only got one room with a view, very disappointing! And the staff at the desk did not seem very willing to try and find us another room with a view, as we were expecting. Telling me that the hotel was fully booked and they could not help me!

Almost everything Spa. Staff not friendly and not the best massage . Breakfast can be richer.

The location was close to downtown. The pools were beautiful and relaxing.

The staff was extremely accommodating and polite. The location is really good. It’s the first hotel right outside of the city, so it has an amazing view of the city / water. Good free breakfast, amazing views, and the hotel is huge! Spend a little more and make sure you can see the Mediterranean! Very little. Any criticisms would be nit-picking.

The views are amazing. Food is great. The room was excellent. The staff was great. Wish it were easier to arrange an airport transfer online. Seemed a bit outdated to fill out a paper to arrange for transfer.

The hotel was gorgeous, clean, great views, easy walk downtown. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The pools were really cool- multi layered but very cold. It was expensive- and I was shocked by how much the taxes increased the price from what I was expecting to pay

Quiet part of town, excellent care at the front desk and the rooms are immaculate. Nothing, it was excellent!

Ac broken, bathrooms dangerous with tile and a clay know sticking out and broke 2 toes. Small room No AC Weddings at hotel prevented from having dinner there Pool closes too late.

Food

Everything. Staff was impressive in every way. Nothing.

The views from the outdoor patios, restaurants, and terrace lounge are spectacular, especially the rainbow on our last day. The breakfast was excellent...nice selections, many healthy, and we could enjoy different foods each day. The "egg man" who prepared eggs and omelets was a daily delight! Our room was absolutely lovely...beautifully appointed, lots of storage for clothing and other personal items. The bed was very comfortable! Nice shower, shampoos and lotions. Our cleaning lady was exceptional (I regret we did not learn her name.) We would have liked an ironing board and iron to be left in our room for our entire stay. The bathtub surface was quite slippery and hazardous. We did NOT enjoy the pigeons eating off of the tables in the breakfast area.

Just about everything. Showers. Tubs to high to get in and out. More shelf space in bathroom.

The property is beautiful especially the pool. Everything was great I liked it all.
