Basecamp South Lake Tahoe

Perfect for walking to the casinos and the amphitheater!! A bit of a longer walk to the lake, but walkable. The staff were super nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire area by the front office and the courtyard area with live music, beverages and some games. There are two well kept hot tubs that we enjoyed. Especially the view from the smaller one. It’s a great motel! Clean, quiet and convenient! Seemed to be plenty of parking, though some are tight. They are not kidding about the Tahoe bear! Take care of your food and trash. The restaurant in the lobby was so convenient for coffee and a quick breakfast.

The AC unit they provided was really loud. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty. I walked barefoot for a few minutes and the bottom of my feet were completely dirty. The shower was really small. One good thing: staff were very nice.

Everything was nice. We just could not get the sleeper couch to work.

Beds were comfortable and location was great. Enjoyed the balcony. Good coffee shop on the premises. Hallway was dirty and had a funny smell.

Great location close to beach, shops and restaurants. Great on site cafe and craft bar. We had a brilliant visit.

Staff was wonderful and very helpful with check-in and any questions we had. There was a large hot tub. Live music on site with a brewery, games, and food! The location was perfect.

phenomenal location—convenient & close to everything!! very clean room! I was initially worried about noise, but it was quiet and we got a great night’s sleep! the gathering areas were well-kept and a lot of fun—people of all ages havin fun :) the next morning, we had an amazing breakfast on site; we enjoyed some fantastic coffee near a firepit. perfect start to the day!! the front desk staff was incredible! they took great care of us as soon as we reserved our room—lots of helpful texts back & forth! we will absolutely stay at Basecamp again!!

Great location near restaurants and shops. We liked the no housekeeping policy during your stay…daily house keeping is dated and waste of resources. Ours was 3 nights stay. It was easy to get more coffee and replace bath mat. Liked lobby area and good pour over coffee in the room. Didn’t get a chance to try food. Walls are thin so if you are super sensitive, be mindful of that fact. Overall, great stay for us.

Easy check in process, great amenities on site and perfect location in South Lake in proximity to most attractions in the area. A little TLC could be used on a few things, but overall a great hotel and stay.

Great location! Very friendly staff and great to have both breakfast and lunch, dinner options on site.

The patio was a a plus as well and music in the yard in the evenings.

Cameron the front at the front desk was the most helpful during check in very efficient and provided us with the best possible service we could ask for.

We loved the balcony and s’mores in the evening. The shower is a tight squeeze and hard to clean kids since it’s not adjustable

The room was basic. The staff was helpful, and kind. The star of the show was the live music and cornhole. It was a nice more slow version of what’s happening on the main strip
