Quality Inn South Lake Tahoe

Room was clean, breakfast was abundant, all in all quite comfortable.

Great location, the room was small but clean, the bed was comfortable and its pet friendly

Room was OK. Clean but in disrepair. Door hinges about to fall out , paint missing on wall in restroom, very poor drywall/paint repairs evident.

We would never book this hotel again, based on this experience.

King room is small but comfortable. Little balcony, but serves its purpose, and nice to have. Surprised we had to ask for a shower curtain, which may have been oversight from cleaning, but they quickly took care of that.

We didn't have shampoo, and the bed was difficult to sleep

They need to develop a map for customers to get to their rooms. It's a big facility on 2 sides of the streets with 3 main buildings. Parking was limited. The breakfast was lacking compared to other Qualify Inns. There was no variety from day to day in what was served, which other Quality Inns offer. The scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. Not real eggs. Customer service in the breakfast area was also lacking. Ladies were not friendly at all. There was NO elevator on the 3rd building on Manzanita Road building. No room cleaning until the 3rd day, and that's by request only.

We felt like we were staying in a converted carport. The room was clean but so awkward. Shower in the bedroom and closet up a literal curb! Bathroom window was only ventilation in bathroom and it opened to the breezeway. Very noisy. Not the best choice in Tahoe

My room wasn’t ready, so I waited around for 40 minutes until one became available.

The AC unit was covered by the curtains which kept tripping the circuit breaker. There was the smell of animal urine in the hallway and room!! There was hair and miscellaneous stains on the sheets and the bed sloped to the center. The shower curtains walls had black mold! So, we weren’t able to shower. Paint was peeling off the walls in the bedroom and bathroom and the bathroom floor had hair and miscellaneous other items pushed into the corners. Parking was horrible. The breakfast wasn’t set up properly. The fresh fruits “apples/bananas”were old (soft to touch or almost completely brown). The sausage and eggs appeared to be leftovers. Trash was dumped on the ground.

The room was clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pool area is a nice amenity with a bbq which we used to bbq steaks and brats. Breakfast was yummy and filling. The Lakeshore beach was just ok. We didn’t care for the course hard sand and long walk through it to get to the shore. We did find Eldorado Beach a mile down the road which we didn’t have to pay to get into with a nicer sandy beach and they played live music. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Thank you Quality Inn for a relaxing mini vacation.

Honestly disgusting. the bed and bedsheets had stains the restroom was dirty when we first walked in the room smelled like dirty socks...

Dirty sheets and stains on cover. Had to request toilet paper at front lobby, they only left a started almost empty roll, the lady at counter said wait 10mins (busy I guess), had to find a housekeeper in the breakfast area for assistance. ***Housekeeping only available after 3days and you have to request the night before or you miss it. We were there +3days. Washer in laundry room was out of service. The door didnt close fully, make sure to pull and confirm it latched or you will come back to a wide open door. AC is the worst. Sorry but not the best experience.

The Quality Inn was very nice. It was tidy, very quiet, and walking distance to downtown South Lake Tahoe. There was a patio table and chairs outside of our room that gave us a wonderful end to our day with charcuterie and drinks that we brought with us. The breakfast was also great with pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a variety of breads, cereals and yoghurts.

Hallway carpet that was dirty & threadbare. Barking dog in the room next door. Barking dog in the hallway. Only two ice machines to service the entire property that only worked intermittently. Opened the cramped balcony to a slew of tree branches that stifled ANY view whatsoever. The owner is obviously funneling off all the profits rather than reinvesting in the property located in a popular tourist destination. It does look as though it may have gotten an exterior paint job about three years ago. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!!

We were an hour early and the clerk let us check in early. Upon entering the room it was very dated. The paint was peeling off the walls especially in the bathroom. The bedspread had stains on them. The people next door came in around 10pm that night and woke us up. That’s how loud they were and also their room and ours had adjoining rooms. Very paper thin door between us. Will not stay here again.

The room had a weird smell not what we expected but also the beds were small not what we really expected from the photos the only thing we loved was the breakfast

The location was perfect. We always had a spot for parking. We stayed for 3 nights but our rooms were never cleaned nor did we have the door hanger. The gym was great the pool was ok. The breakfast was ok, it would have been nice if they vary the hot food and improved the layout.

Definitely recommend overall. We stayed for 3 nights and found that our king bed room with the balcony was spacious, clean, and well equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave. The free breakfast was amazing, basically anything you would go out and pay at a restaurant you had downstairs included in your stay. An added plus was the beach vouchers for the nearby private beach that you can ask for daily at the front desk.
