We had a great stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant visit. The bed was very comfortable, the location was excellent, and the friendly, helpful staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

Loved the friendly staff. Room location was great and the room was immaculate!

Convenient, very clean, breakfast was great! Tea, your customer service skills were sensational! Thank you for all your help! We couldn’t stay longer!

Very comfortable pillows; good bed; I could open windows fully to the outside; friendly and helpful reception who was waiting for me outside of hotel door and took me upstairs; offered to take luggage and explained the room mainly tv and heating/air conditioning remote It is down an alley making it potentially complex to find; Stairs only throughout so try to go for lower floor if stairs an issue; a weird step down and then step up if going from main part of room to bathroom - could be an issue if you forget that in the middle of the night; the hotel is close to the action which is great but if you are an early bird sleeper there is light noise that echoes around the square or the main promenade until the later hours but to be very clear all outside the hotel itself

The staff at Hotel Kastel took VERY good care of us! The hotel sent Bozo (Bosho) to meet us at the airport and he brought us directly to our hotel AND brought our luggage to our apartment which was several streets away from the main hotel. The apartment was lovely and right in the center of important sights, shops, and restaurants. The hotel itself was right around the corner from the main promenade and the water - very close to everything! When it was time to check out, Bozo came back to our room and carried our luggage for us back to the main hotel so we could store it there until we were ready to leave. As mentioned, the main hotel was right around the corner from the promenade so it was easy to go back and retrieve our luggage. We thought the hotel staff were very personable and we would definitely stay at Hotel Kastel again!

Location and room were outstanding & extremely clean Only issue may be lack of elevator but wasn't an issue from my end.

Locations and staff
-
Location , cleanliness and friendly staff! We have to check out at 6:30 and they arrange their staff to help us carrying the luggage down the stairs. This place is CLEAN! Only the water tank location, tall people may need to watch out. Also, it may not have enough hot for 3 people continuously. We have to wait 20 min in between. However, the location and staff out weight these things.

Loved location. Many restaurants and ocean close by. We didn't like the steps to get to hotel. You need to include that in description of hotel. Our knees were having trouble. Some people can't do that many steps.
-
Location was perfect to the Riva, shops and restaurants!
-
The location in the center of the old town. Very tiny and stuffy breakfast room with very few food choices for breakfast
-
Amazing old town location. Staff was super helpful carrying our luggage up and down stairs. Cute room overlooking the main plaza. Definitely recommend! Hotel is tucked away down an alley. Was hard to find initially.
-
The room was not at the hotel it was at an offsite location, about 350m away. I was not happy about that I was traveling on my own and wanted a location with people/staff around. It was at a location, like a plaza with lots of restaurants and bars that was very noisy, even with ear plugs I could not sleep (given fact I had an early morning flight) It made my 11 hour flight home even more difficult.

Bed was a little lumpy. Lots of stairs

You are staying right in the heart of Split! Our room was clean, comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The breakfasts were fantastic. I felt like I was in a boutique hotel. Being right in the heart of Split brings noise from the bars and the revelers.

Location All was good
-
Exactly on the area of the Old Town … Friendly staff ? Access to the main spots to see in Split
-
location is amazing, in heart of the city , Hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. Private parking is plus( 900 meter from hotel) i think breakfast could be a bit richer, more food variety in that context.

Waterfront view; being within the walls of Diocletian’s palace. An elevator would be nice fir the 3rd floor room, but we knew before, and understood, one hasn’t been retrofitted into the hotel.
