Aborda Rooms

Great location in the heart of old town. Hosts were kind and prompt to answer our questions. We specially appreciated flexibility regarding check out time.

Aborda Rooms is just that - a beautifully-appointed and generously-sized room in the Palace grounds of Split, which was a surprise as I was expecting a hotel reception. Lift, air conditioning, great bed, big bathroom and a nice outlook onto a small square with a couple of restaurants. One restaurant has staff that will show you to the building and access to the room, and is also where you have a fantastic breakfast included in the rental price. We loved our short stay and would highly recommend staying here (subject to my other comments below)! I hadn't realised that it was not a hotel so we had to arrange to store our bags at one of the many commercial options available for the next day until we left the town. As it is in the Palace grounds, this does mean that a taxi can't deliver you to your door, so you need to carry cases up and down external stairs (there is a good elevator in the property itself, and there might normally be step-free access from the taxi drop off but building works have closed that lane for now). Whilst this was a problem for us due to an injury making it difficult for us to move bags easily, it was still a great stay once we sorted that out and perhaps I should have realised both challenges when booking!

The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The location is great - off the main paths. Breakfast was always good. We had everything we needed- communication from host was excellent. I would recommend this for anyone coming to Split.

Didn't figure out that ac was controlled by remote until 3rd day. (Our bad :()

Coffee maker would be nice

The included breakfast across the square was amazing! The location also very good. Very comfortable bed and very nice bathroom.

Adorba Rooms was one of the best hotels I've stayed in with my family on vacation. The rooms were super clean and roomy. The location was perfect, with two delicious restaurants right outside the front door of the hotel and it's within the walls of the Diocletian Palace so there's tons to explore. The free breakfast at the restaurant outside the hotel front door was delicious, my kids also loved it. The directions the hotel owners provided to get to the hotel were super easy to use. I also was able to communicate with the hotel owners if I had any questions. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone (singles, couples, families) due to its style, price, and location. The only issue was the church bells ringing in the early mornings (it's a stone's throw from the hotel) but that is part of the European experience!!

Perfect location to expensive

Comfortable chairs on deck would have been appreciated. Also suggest leaving a broom on deck so we could sweep leaves, as they tended to track into room.

The location is perfect right in the heart of the old town literally next to the Diocletian’s Palace. It has everything travelers need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The host is available via booking messages but responses were not always prompt. There is nobody at the apartment to ask for help in person. Be aware to read the instructions of the safe before using it. It works differently from the one in US. I accidentally locked my passport and wallet in it and was able to finally get hold of host to open it with default code after several hours. Also the sofa bed is not really the sofa bed in US. It is a single sofa chair that its lower part can be flipped up but it is still too short and small for my 18 year old son to sleep on. There is no extra blanket for sofa bed either. There are only 2 towels for 3 nights stay. We asked for extra towels without any responses. We also could not find public garbage bins outside to dump our daily trash with leftover food. So the room had bad smell after a day.

Breakfast was at the restaurant across the street, and it was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Room was comfortable and in a great location. Although the hotel is in a busy area, the window/shutters blocked all of the noise. It was also nice having a small fridge. I booked a double bed room but the bed was made as a single bed.

Tooms are exactly like in photos. It was clean and had a great location. Hosts were approachable. We did late self check-in and it was smooth. Breakfast.. You can choose from one meal including one coffee only. We asked for double espresso and they charged for extra espresso which is weird for me. Breakfast menu was also so strange ki da fusion nothing delicious.

Location, location, location! They gave really good instructions to find the property since our driver could not drop us off at the front door. They have an elevator for luggage. There isn’t anyone at the property and communication was a bit slow.

It was very easy to access. Great location, they had a restaurant right by the property and the rooms were very pleasantly decorated. Maybe a little bit more room for storage

The location was awesome. Breakfast was good. The property is not well marked and no one was there to meet us. Arrived directly from the airport and were scrambling to figure out how to access our room. Evidently there was a message sent which we had not seen. It would have been helpful to receive this much earlier.

Great location, very comfortable bed and clean room. Only minor things. There were no lamps so this was a bit annoying for night time, as the top lights were a bit bright. We stayed for a week and it would have been nice if the mugs and glasses could have been cleaned / replaced since there are no washing up tools provided.

Room was as advertised. Contactless check-in was very easy. Great A/C. Breakfast was wonderful and served in a beautiful courtyard setting.
