Centennial Hotel Spokane

The property was ideally located for our needs. We were in town for the USA Judo Nationals and it was held at The Podium, which was walking distance from the Centennial Hotel. The Riverfront Park, located across the street from the Centennial, was also a pleasant place for walking and entertaining our children. Rooms were decently sized and we were lucky enough to have a room with a beautiful view of the Riverfront Park and the Podium. There were also several options to enjoy restaurants that were also walking distance, or a short uber ride (or scooter ride) away. Service was prompt and professional. We had no tv service when we arrived and they sent maintenance quickly to remedy the situation. They have luxury bath and shower products and are mindful of the environment, so they use full size products that are installed in the shower and are refilled once the products are used. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which were useful. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs that catered to the many World Cup Soccer fans by showing the games during our stay. While there is not an official Starbucks on the premises, they serve Starbucks coffee in the lobby cafe. I would recommend staying here if you are in Spokane.

Clean room. Good location

Housekeeping was minimal at best. On day 1 our towels were refreshed but the bed was not made. I don't mean fresh sheets, simply not made. Three calls later, including with the hotel manager, nothing changed. On day 2, at 5pm the towels had not even been refreshed. Our room rate included breakfast, but that included only one option - the Davenport - eggs, hash browns, choice of breakfast meat, choice of toast. No substitutions allowed, even if the substitution was cheaper than the Davenport. On day 1, we were not charged extra for our coffee. On day 2, I opted to order from the menu; my spouse ordered the Davenport. Our bill appeared to include charges for everything. When questioned, the server turned the interaction into a very public explanation that the Davenport charge was credited. When asked why we were paying for the beverages as we didn't the day before, the very public, overly loud explanation was the beverages weren't free and hadn't been for 14 years but she would remove all charges to make us happy. We felt we were being publicly chastised for asking questions. All in all, it was an unpleasant stay. We won't stay again.

Our stay started out horrible as they had oversold the hotel so I didn't get the balcony room that I paid extra for. They did give me free parking and a small dining credit, but not until I let them know how unacceptable it was to just put me in a less expensive room (I had pre-paid). The customer service was just horrible the whole time. Housekeeping only comes on request (but they don't tell you that until you are upset because nobody came even though you had the service room hanging on the door all day) No coffee, water or towels and the staff is just like " they went home for the day". The hotel itself was nice enough, but the sinks in the rooms are about 1" deep so everything splashes and the shower has no door, so cold until the bathroom gets all steamy. The beds were pretty comfortable and the a/c did its job. We stayed there for an event. It would not be my first choice in the future. If you stay here, just don't have high expectations of customer service and you will be fine.

It’s was my 4th time staying there but not as pleasant as usual. There were ants in the bathroom.

Staffing is overwhelmed at this hotel. Late check-ins were very inconvenient for our family. The pool is its saving grace. Stairs and other areas need a good vacuum and dust.

La atención súper desagradable todo sucio mal servicio no tenían ni toallas para cambiar las habitaciones las dan bien sucias y cuando le reclamas te amenazan te tratan mal y te dicen que es mentira muy mala esperiencia no les recomiendo para nada quedarse vinimos a un campeonato y otras familias tenían hasta chincha y pulga y garrapatas en el cuarto y medias sucias del los huéspedes anteriores en el cuarto polvo y churre por todos lados

Great pool and location.

This property was very close to the podium, which is where we needed to be for the four days that we were there. The staff is nice and the bed is super comfy. The updated hotel is very nice.

We booked Centenial but was called the night before that they movrd us to a sister hotel. For most part amenities were the same except no balcony . We were given free parking but let me just say that was the hardest of all. I needed handi csp stall and none available unless I could navigate 7 or so stairs. Parking was not marked well having to circle blg to finally figure out how to get in then to grab ticket while going up a huge incline. The Davenport Grand did ghe best they could. The breakfast was delicious. So overall a 4 for Davenport but parking was awful for handicapped. Maybe free valet for us impaired cojld have made better results.

Everything was absolutely awsome !

Overall experience was rather negative, initial experience with staff was disappointing. The staff member who checked us in was unenthusiastic and did not take any effort to explain anything about the hotel or the amenities. No transparency about the additional fees that did not show up in the original price listed on Expedia. The fact that my bill from Expedia said “all fees included” and still getting surprised by the price should not be happening. The only plus about this stay was the manager’s corporation of letting us checkout early.

Non responsive housekeeping

Great location. Property was fairly clean and tidy. Some staff was not welcoming, but overall they were helpful.

When I checked in, I was told that because I booked through a third-party (Expedia), that they didn't have the type of room I booked. I had to upgrade " for only a few dollars more" in order to get a room at all. It turned out to be $100 more for a 2-night stay! I had a nice dinner in the restaurant, but the service was very slow. When I got home and checked my credit card account, I see that they have double-billed me! Watch your billings carefully -- this is the second time this has happened to me at this hotel!
