Rooms at the Saint

Some of the staff members (lady attending breakfast) did not help or engage to facilitate a taxi or even breakfast options because the kitchen cooker was not working

The location was great! The design of the room was nice. The bathroom was a good size. They had a nice breakfast included and nice treats like hot chocolate, water and Twix like bar… assuming these were included thus extra effort was appreciated. The bathroom was a good size. The beds were single size not twin, the pillows were terrible and beds were hard. The listing I believe said beds were twin size but at least by American sizes they were single. The entry to the unit was up a back stairwell in a pub so not very pleasant. The room was very small. The bathroom tub had things that were broken. The plug for example for tub… a place where paint was chipped where you would sit. They hadn’t refilled our shampoo and conditioner so was hard to get out. The bar manager who I believe checked us in wasn’t very welcoming. However the morning staff was much nicer.

Spotless and recently renovated room and bathroom. Crisp and bright white towels and sheets. Low noise though facing the street. Staff lovely and very helpful. Breakfast great quality especially the eggs and bacon and prepared with care. Smell of food pervaded the stairwell but fortunately did not carry into the room. Stairwell dark and bleak and could use a paint job. The bedroom could use brighter lights too, just a few watts more. If those things were taken care of, I would give the room a 10.

Cheap and clean Hard to get in and out and restaurant closed early

Breakfast was wonderful. Great location & very quiet in the room. Lovely bar & garden! Shower didn’t work properly & terrible smell in the staircase next to the bar.

Free American breakfast was a nice perk. Rooms were a nice size. I appreciated the fan in the room to make the sleeping more comfortable. Location was great I walked to the golf course every day.

Lovely, well furnished room. Comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with radiant heat flooring and plenty of space for your bathroom things. Great shower. Fantastic full breakfast.

Breakfast was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very central but I guess every place is central in Saint Andrews as it is a small town:) Very clean. Just be aware that you will have to carry your suitcase to the 1st floor where the rooms are.

Reasonably priced lodging is difficult to find in St Andrews. The Saint was our best option. The Inn is within walking distance to Saint Andrews Golf course. The breakfast was good. It was nice not to have a buffet. We were able to select from the menu. The Inn was close to restaurants and bakeries. It was noisy. The students partied throughout the night and were up early in morning at a bakery across the street. We did not realize there was no lift. Fortunately, the staff (somewhat reluctantly) offered to help with our luggage when they saw my 80 year old husband struggling.

Fantastic location in the heart of downtown St Andrews. Room was spacious, clean and decorated nicely.

Great location. Lovely restaurant and gardens. Pretty laid out rooms with thoughtful finishes and very friendly and helpful employees Don’t know if this is applicable to all rooms but my bed and pillows were super hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. Pillows way too large and hard.

Right above a bar, close to city center. Rooms are big and clean, honestly a beautiful hotel.

Dalila was the best host and she left with 2 wonderful glasses as a memory from our vacation. Thank you Dalila!
