Southbridge Napa Valley

The entire staff was unbelievably welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect for walking to local shops and restaurants. The spa which is included also had the best staff and we lived our respite by the pool.

BEST ever stay! Southbridge Napa Valley is totally amazing. First of all, Ellen checked us in. She was soooo helpful. We can't say enough about her willingness to answer questions and give us great guidance about what to see and do while in St Helena. We selected this property for many reasons which included the accommodations, location, and relationship to a spa...but there was so much more. First of all, the room was perfect. Bed/bedding comfortable, bathroom clean and spacious, a cute little dining table...including wine glasses and bottle opener. There was a fireplace...and overall, just a good vibe. Breakfast from a local bakery was included and was absolute perfection! Free parking was appreciated. Next, they have a relationship with the Spa, the Italian Restaurant attached, and a winery nearby for free wine tasting for 2. So special when separate businesses share their strengths and perks to deliver a phenomenal overall special experience. We ordered wine (arrives today), enjoyed a message, facial, pool/hot tub and spectacular eucalyptus steam. WOW! Best ever!! The pizza and salad from the restaurant were really special but leave room for the Tiramisu too. The entire experience is worth a trip to Southbridge. We highly recommend...and we enjoyed much more than our Napa stay.

Awesome place in St Helena, close to everything. Very nice spacious room with excellent well lit bathroom. Staff so very nice. Will stay here again

Great location in the heart of wine country. Lots of local shops and restaurants walking distance. The complimentary breakfast delivered to your door is amazing. The spa is great and included in your stay!

Lovely hotel. The room was spacious with high ceilings and a beautiful view of the courtyard (+ a fireplace, which is charming, even if useless in summer!). The furnishings were a bit underwhelming, a bummer only b/c the space has so much potential. Breakfast delivered to your room for free in the morning is AWESOME. Access to the "spa" right across the courtyard is great too, but FYI it's more a nice health club than an actual spa. Three stars is for the fact that there were several basic maintenance/structural and service issues, which in fairness, affected me more than most - I came here to recuperate from knee surgery; I can walk and carry stuff and use stairs but it all takes extra effort - still, the issues are not what I'd expect at a luxury hotel. The elevator was randomly out one night, meaning everybody had to take the stairs (no apologies or check-ins about this). My last day, the water was shut off from 10am-noon, and check-out is at noon, which made this really not ideal. I asked for a late check out but they said no, and suggested I could go to the spa to take a shower instead. But hobbling across the courtyard with my toiletries is not what I go to a fancy hotel for! Finally, none of the doors have auto open/close, which is a pain when carrying luggage, even if your knee is fine. I had to carry my stuff in two trips, three doors each time, and was clearly struggling and no one helped until the very end. Lovely hotel but not a luxury hotel, at least not for me.

Will definitely go back location amenities the health club. Everything is great. The room was fine. Carpet was a little stained and had a slight odor, but otherwise great size and layout.

I have been to wine country several times, This is a nice place to stay. It is not far away from most wineries, and is within a walking distance to restaurants in St Helena. This boutique hotel features very friendly staffs, spacious and clean room, useful facilities with a pool and a steam room in a clean locker room. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts in my sun filled room listening to the singing birds. The only thing I feel uncomfortable was the bbq smoke smell from the nearby restaurants.

Loved everything about Southbridge Napa Valley! Location, excellent. Staff super friendly and amenities excellent . I will be back.

To know: if you like to do lap swim in the morning, you need to reserve a lane.

Custom breakfast was amazing. And location was very convenient to restaurants and wineries.

Very quiet hotel. Fully booked but hardly saw any other guests. Liked choosing for the breakfast room delivery. Loved access to the gym and pool. Lovely bathroom and well stocked. A working fridge Plenty of fresh drinking water provided daily, and the daily Southbridge chocolate biscuit. Bedrooms are a bit plain in decoration. A splash of colour /a feature wall would bring a bit of oomph to the room.

Everything was wonderful. The fireplace in the room was a major plus. You couldn’t ask for a better location, everything in walking distance.

Every aspect was excellent from clean attractive rooms to breakfast delivered to room to workout facilities to friendly helpful efficient staff

The complimentary tasting at Merryvale and access to the spa next door truly make this the perfect trifecta. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

We were there celebrating my sister-in-laws 70th birthday. They treated us like celebrities. Had signs reserving the pool lounge chairs, bubbles and chocolate in our room. Absolutely fantastic time and beautiful hotel and spa.

There is a long steep stairs to get into the house, so it might not be good for elderly and small children. However, our 2 yo grandkids enjoy the house a lot!

Just one thing.fireplace not working. We stay room 11. But it's not big deal. We are comeback.

Staff was amazing. Breakfast delivered to your door was terrific. Spa/pool next door is wonderful. Highly recommend!
