Location, location, location. If you are a resort-only person, forget it. Wydown is for people who want to walk out the door and have the option to pop in at a cool antique/thrift shop, grab dinner at Cook, stop in Orin Swift’s wine tasting room, or shop at Veronica Beard (and many other wonderful options) steps from the hotel. Comfortable bed, zero views, but that is compensated for with a cozy, quietly elegant in-like hotel. We’ll be back.

One of the best locations. The breakfast from model bakery was fantastic. The host made homemade Chocolate Chip cookies that smelled and tasted incredible.

Such a cool hotel! Well maintained. very friendly staff

Great experience. Staff could not have been friendlier. It's an older hotel, so maybe bring a sleeping mask if you wish to sleep in or take a nap (light gets in around window blinds and skylight). Otherwise, great experience, and the location could not be better. Walk to everything in St. Helena. Will definitely be back...

Cute place right downtown. Staff were super helpful multiple times on advice and on how to work the fan and AC

This property is very well-located, with friendly staff, a pretty common area and a simple, yet satisfying breakfast included. In the room, the nespresso and still/sparkling waters were a welcome amenity, as were the Molten Brown bath products. The bed was a bit saggy and uncomfortable to me (husband disagreed) and room and the bathroom were kind of sad and nondescript . There is a strange skylight in the room so bring a sleep mask if the light will bother you. It would have all been completely fine, except for the fact we averaged $700/night and at that rate were expecting much, much more. We never spend that much just to sleep and shower, however we had a wedding to attend and stay options are limited. This hotel is a $350 max/night experience,
