Nicely located at the bottom of Banz. Welcome water in the room and coffee/tea available at any time day or night was highly appreciated. The name Berggasthof implies Gasthof services, however food service is limited to breakfast buffet and Sunday lunch. No restaurant service for lunch or dinner already since 2022. Alternative food service is available at restaurant in town (car needed), but closed on Sundays eve! The room windows should be fitted with bug screens, to avoid guests being eaten alive during warm Sommer nights trying to sleep with open windows.

Nice hotel. Large modern clean rooms. Excellent Breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. The WiFi was not available in my room. I was able to get good connectivity in a common area, but the signal in the room would not support anything requiring 10Mbs or better. This was not as advertised.

The staff were friendly and serviceminded. The view was fantastic. Nice and clean. Bathroom was very small. No AC in the rooms so on a warm day it became very hot.

Guy at the desk was friendly. Big, free parking space. In room there is no A/C. When you open a window flies fly in and disturb your sleep. When we arrived restaurant was closed, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy beautifull sceenery.

It was a lovely spot! It was easy to arrive late—we just pet them know we were coming in after 10pm, and they left a key card and instructions for us in the key box. I do wish we had longer than the one night! Breakfast buffet spread was excellent, and the view from the patio outside where we ate was glorious. The staff was wonderful. Nothing!

Good location near the spa at Bad Staffelstein and with great views of Banz Abbey. Newly renovated and well appointed rooms and public areas. Parking and breakfast fine. Still under renovation so no restaurant, which we only informed of after we had booked. This is tricky in this part of the world because there are not a lot of dinner alternatives. No fridge or tea/coffee in the room.
