Right in the center of town. The “bar/lobby” is never open at any time and nobody is ever there. The front door is locked for half of the day and the other half, there is just nobody there. We waited for a long time for someone to show up and check us in. Every other group we saw there had the exact same experience. We returned to the hotel once to a lady yelling at the employee that their family had been waiting for an hour for her to come check them in. The employee never gave any explanations or real apologies to anyone. An AirBnB with no host is much easier to deal with and is more welcoming. It felt very much like this is the way it is every day. Also, before our stay, I had sent two messages with questions. It took four days to get a reply to one and the other was never answered. All of this might be funny from a cheap hotel, but the cheapest room was almost $300/night in the summer. The two bedroom apartment was $430, very generic, it is out of range of the hotel’s WiFi, and every room has a window right next to the bar next door that is open until 1am and has live music. The dual pane windows make almost no difference.

The location There was no restaurant and limited staffing
-
Close to train and restaurants. Twice our card key failed to open our door. It took nearly an hour for somebody to show up to fix the problem.

The location was excellent. The lobby. Closed most of the time. Kind of a weird vibe.

The location. This does not represent the photos at all of this property. There is no cute little bar, or outside seating. The restaurant is shut down as we couldn't enter the doors and had to access through a nasty door adjacent to it. The halls smelled of urine, it was dirty and a tad spooky. We stayed the night as we were flying out the next day from Edinburg and were very tired to look for another room.

The location is hard to beat. It's just a short walk from the train station and there are plenty of places to eat in the area. Shopping is also very close to the hotel. We were looking forward to the cute little bar at the hotel that was displayed in several pictures. However, according to the young lady that showed us to our room, the bar is no longer open at the hotel. The bathroom in our room had water coming up between the tiles that seemed to be coming from the toilet. The reception area is never occupied so we sent a messaage to the hotel about the water. There was no response from the hotel whatsoever! One evening, we saw a couple outside the hotel that had just arrived. They could not reach anyone using the provided telephone number and as the reception was not occupied, there was nothing they could do. The price of this hotel is extremely high for what is offered. I can not recommend staying at this location!!

The hotel no longer has a restaurant. When we asked the reception about eating places near by they were pointedly unhelpful. If their facility can't offer breakfast they should advise guests where they can go. The general areas of the building need a spruce up. They are dark, worn , uninviting especially the rear entrance from the car park. The room would be improved by adding bedside tables on each side and a fan as the rooms were stuffy.

The staff were smoking in the doorway when I arrived, and I walked in amongst a cloud of smoke, apart from that it was fine

Rooms were aging. Multiple stains on the rug. Paint was chipped throughout.

Location was right in the heart of town There is never anyone on-site and they don’t answer the emergency phone numbers provided. After hours door code did not work. There was absolutely no light switch to turn the lights off making it very uncomfortable to sleep.

I was only guest staying here. No staff based on site or after 6pm, so it was just me and the bed bugs. Room not clean. Carpet stained, bed stained, bathroom looked very tired and dated. Door to outside street didn't feel very secure. Very disappointing accommodation, and if I'd have read further feedback from other review sites, I wouldn't have stayed. Arguably one of the worst places I've stayed.

This was the worst ‘hotel’ I’ve ever stayed in. Not only was the room dirty but the toilet in the bathroom flooded due to improper drain connection. You could hear the road and the other guests through paper thin walls- it was the most uncomfortable stay- we spent as little time as possible in the room and left at dawn. The hotel, if you can even call it that, did not have the ‘bar/restaurant’ open for guests and there was no staff after 5pm. I would never stay here and will never recommend this place.

Cosy room, comfy & clean bed, welcoming staff, central location, good selection of teas/coffees/Tunnocks treats in room Dirty/stained carpet, marks on wall, mould in corners, TV doesn’t work properly, staff only on site for a few hours, no longer a restaurant or bar downstairs so benefit of discount didn’t apply, guttering needs cleaning which resulting in being woken with pounding rain on windowsill area. Website/Facebook page has to be updated to honestly describe/state what is currently on offer which feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Very unloved & rundown building, needs a lot of investment to improve.
