Located very close to Strasburg city center, but there is complete countryside. Real historical palace with amazing park around. Breakfast and staff was great.
-
Nothing.
-
The most gorgeous place you could possibly stay at in France. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and views are beautiful, plus an amazing breakfast.
-
The location is out of town and was a bit far. Still, it was worth it.

Room was a nice size and well presented in a lovely location, the bed was excellent Breakfast was ok simple but nice No onsite restaurant

If the room is on the first floor, you still need to carry the luggage up/down the stairs.

My stay at Château de Pourtalès felt like stepping into a quiet dream. The property itself is breathtaking—open, green, and full of a kind of stillness that lets you breathe a little deeper. The grounds carry a calm that settles into you, whether you’re walking beneath the trees or simply sitting in the silence of it all. It’s the kind of place where time softens. Mornings were one of my favorite parts. The breakfast was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared—simple, fresh, and comforting in a way that made each day begin gently. Sitting there, surrounded by light and quiet, felt like a moment you didn’t want to rush. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—present without ever being intrusive. You could feel that they cared about the space and the people in it. This place holds a rare kind of peace. It’s not just somewhere you stay—it’s somewhere you return to, even after you’ve left. I had to leave.

Quiet and peaceful ; nice breakfast; helpful staff A little too far from restaurants

Magic, cozy, warm and very relaxing atmosphere! 20min from the city center, big park around you, free parking. Good breakfast and very attentive stuff. It was really a great experience to stay in such a historical building which is very well preserved. Rooms are very specious and comfortable. We left with a very good impression and would love to come again. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality!!

Staff were all great. The chateau was amazing.

The electric box was buzzing, which was bothering us during the night a bit. Bathroom door are from glass, strange choice, not really soundproof.
-
Lovely location! Very nice rooms and the staff was very friendly! We loved it and will definitely consider coming back! Can't think of anything, it was just very nice!

The experience of staying in a castle was lovely. The staff was very helpful and kind. Good breakfast and convenient parking Perhaps if you don’t have a car it would be difficult to reach

Everything was awesome, I’ll coming back to stay more.
-
Beautiful property. The cost of the continental breakfast is ridiculous and exploits the fact that there is nothing close by. ($60 CHF per person). We weren’t in the chateau but a carriage house which was not a problem. It’s connected to the chateau by a courtyard. What was a little hard was the smell coming from the bathroom. Old building, old plumbing. We get it but it does distract a bit. Also you really need a car if you stay here. We would drive to a park and ride to take a tram into town. Easy and convenient once you get there but just good to know.

Hospitality, nature around hotel and breakfast Had to leave early

It is a bit far from the city centre so it was less convenient without a car.
