location was the ONLY good thing about this hotel. The hotel appeared welcoming from the outside and in the reception area. We arrived at approximately 2:30 p.m., but our room was not yet ready. We were told we could leave our luggage in a storage room located down the hall. Unfortunately, the room was simply a concrete storage area that appeared to be accessible to anyone, so we did not feel comfortable leaving our belongings there unattended. We were also informed that we could use the hotel's parking garage but would need to download a parking app. One receptionist told us there were no available parking spaces, while another checked the app and said there were plenty available. However, no one informed us that ongoing construction had blocked access to the parking garage. We spent over 30 minutes driving around trying to find an entrance before ultimately canceling the reservation and choosing a different garage, which was also significantly less expensive. When we returned to the hotel to check in, we were assigned Room 105. The room door was missing the cover over the key card reader, exposing the battery, which immediately raised concerns about the room's condition. Upon entering, we were greeted by a strong smell of damp mold, and the room was infested with ants. Although the room listing advertised air conditioning, there was none—only a portable fan. When we moved the fan, even more ants emerged from underneath it. Within the first five minutes, we killed approximately 50 ants. We chose not to unpack our luggage because we were concerned it would become infested as well. We immediately returned to the front desk to report the issue. Maintenance was sent with a spray bottle and a shop vacuum. The employee sprayed the area where the ants were entering and vacuumed up the visible insects but did not the rest. The bathroom had a strong odor of urine, making the room feel extremely unsanitary. We returned to the front desk, requested a full refund.

Location was very good.. clean hotel There is no mini fridge.. breakfast was poor

It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to store our luggage so we could explore prior to checking in. My only concern was very minor in that when we did go to get our luggage a large group of students had basically tossed their bags on top of ours and we had a difficult time getting to it. Glad we didn’t have any breakables. The staff was very apologetic and assured us this was not the norm.

Great staff, super comfortable mattress and amazing location - easy to get to/from the station and the city center. There was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the room. Not because anything was dirty. I think it has something to do with the plumbing. But that's literally the only thing - everything else was great.

We loved the location, it was walking distance to most places where we wanted to go. The staff was very nice and they served wonderful breakfast. The only issue was that the lift was broken and won’t be fixed until the Fall.

I have finally returned from my trip in Europe and can communicate with you on my computer which is easier than just using my phone for correspondence. Clap Clap Hotel has denied any responsibility in this issue. Two things; they said it was my problem for using a 3rd party, Booking.Com, and then said I tried to falsely plant items under our mattress pad before going to bed, which I didn't and am not a thief. On several occasions, I gave them the opportunity to correct the issue, but they refused. I have been communicating with them and basically since my arrival even though the room was run down and a lot smaller than the pictures showed, it definitely wasn't a Superior room, instead it was inferior. When I asked for an upgrade (which I was willing to pay for) they said if I booked directly with them, they could change my room, but since I booked with a 3rd party, Booking.com, I couldn't change rooms. I was visibly upset, but resigned to stay in my existing room. Then 5.5 hours later we were unpacked and my wife got in bed and felt something hard under the mattress pad. After further investigation it was a wooden hanger and other debris. One item appeared to be a used condom wrapped in tissue. I wasn't going to look deeper and this was only about ¼ of the sheet that we exposed, instead I went to front desk and asked how they wanted to resolve it. He said they weren't. That is when I walked to a hotel in the area, booked a room for the night. Went back to pack, get my wife and checked with the front desk again about how they will resolve it, so I can come back the next day to stay the additional 3 nights we paid for and again they said they won't do anything to resolve the issue. Not even offering to inspect and clean it. After checking in at Ibis hotel, I then booked the next 3 nights there instead of returning to ClapClap. Then the manager of ClapClap accused me of fraud and said I planted those items in the bed.

Pillows too hard. Air conditioning dropped and potential mold in shower.
-
Location near the train station and attractions in old town. Next to a large choice of cafes, restaurants . Very nice and accommodating front staff and it actually has an elevator!
-
The bed was comfortable, the room was small but clean. In an excellent location. The bathroom was on the small side and a little difficult to manoeuvre in the shower and I am a petite person.
-
Near to the train station and in the main attractions. Loud noises from closing doors when people leave especially early in the morning. Slams after slams and there’s a vibrating sound from a pipe or some appliances that was annoying at times.

the location is perfect no thing

Perfect location. Absolutely no issues. None

Friendly staff, good breakfast, convenient to both the train station and the old town
-
Nothing.
-
Convenient location, quiet rooms, comfortable. The terrace was nice and loved the foyer seating areas Only comment is that the bathroom had no toilet paper holder
-
The parking is kinda impossible to access. The big bed is two small bed. The breakfast was médium quality, with some pain au chocolat not bakery enough.

The ClapClap Hotel's location is about 400 meters from Strasbourg's main train station and car rental facilities. That made it a very convenient stop on my trip from Germany to France. While I waited for my check-in time, there was a comfortable lounge and a lockable storage room available for me and my luggage. The reception was open 24/7. Staff was very friendly and ready to help with restaurant recommendations.

Location was OK - not as close to the train station as I would've liked, but closer than many other places
