Econo Lodge Sturbridge Route 20

Motel easy to get to off/on 84. Room very clean. Staff very friendly. I will stay here again. Only drawback is that breakfast is minimum. Consist of mufffin, fruit, bagel, coffee.

This place is charming and a pleasure to stay in! Parking was right in front of our room, everything inside worked and was very clean. We were comfortable and felt safe here. I would recommend to family and friends.

Ok for overnight stay, helpful staff

Unfortunately, the only positive thing I could say is that the location was great. Two hours from the Cape.

We needed a cheap place to sleep with our dog in the way home on long trip. It was a place to sleep, but if I were less desperate I probably wouldn’t have stayed the night. There were stains on the sheets, scratches on the bathroom door, and disturbing stains on the bathroom floor. The pros were the air conditioner worked well, the person checking us in was very nice, and we didn’t see any bugs in the room ( we did a pretty thorough check). There are other inexpensive places to stay in Sturbridge. Skip this one if you can.

We chose this hotel for an overnight as we were passing through on a long trip and they accepted dogs (we reserved for 1 night but ended up staying 3 nights, not by choice). The location is very good and the hotel sits on a nice property way up from the road. It was quiet. Very walkable to nice places to eat. The rooms themselves need many updates and improvements.

I have nothing but great service and stays at Econo Lodge!

​This was, without a doubt, the filthiest, most disgusting, and foul-smelling hotel I have ever visited in my life. The room was terribly dirty, and the smell throughout the property was unbearable. ​To make matters worse, the area felt extremely unsafe with loiterers constantly surrounding the premises. I felt uncomfortable and deeply disappointed with the total lack of hygiene and security. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs.

Good room nice grounds and not far from Sturbridge histoire hotel.

Very basic room, a bit run down, but very clean with comfortable bed.

Check in was cheerful and the room was immaculate. Very polite staff.

I had reserved a non smoking room but room smelled like a giant ash tray! Could also smell smoke coming through ancient ac unit from other guest smoking outside! Bedspread had cigarette hole, and bathroom dirty. We had booked non-refundable room but the manager was very accommodating about a refund-the highlight of the place!

Location; price; TV; Quiet. Toilet tank leaking; roaches; bed;; unfriendly hosts.

The shower was rusty and the safety latch on the door was missing

Location was great we could walk to many places. Unaware of food/ breakfast. Saw an empty bar with equipment with out of order on it. Room smell was overpowering. It was chemically and mothball like smell. Linens also reeked of this odor. I had to use a sweatshirt over my pillow first night and bought new pillows on day two. Our eyes were itchy and red, husband’s allergies worsened. Room had cobwebs, floor was cracked and broken near the bathroom- rooms had no deadlocks on them,bathroom was so small you could barely close the door- if we were larger people you would not have been able to. pet friendly but no info on website about $25 fee per night. I refused to pay - attendant did waive one night. Refrigerator/ freezer full of frost and only usable for bottled water. Windows had no locks that allowed the one window to remain open partially. We had to just risk leaving window open due to the smell. When in room we left door wide open. In hindsight we should have left and taken our chances of getting a room elsewhere but we had a wedding and were exhausted . Website shows main house not actual room structure. Chemical smell made me sick and lethargic. I know Econo lodges are not top of the line , but did not expect this poor quality for $ 335 for two nights!

the room was dusty with con webs on tje light fixtures. the soap dish in the ahower was broken and still stuck to the shower walls,

Calling it breakfast is a stretch! Cellophane wrapped bagels and an apple was the offering! Bad coffee.. fake cream.. awful! Only stayed there for Brimfield! Rooms old, ugly, smell like cigarette smoke, bathroom door doesn’t close correctly! And.. impossible to reach the office by phone! I tried to call to alter my stay and could not get thru.. multiple times! If not for Brimfield… would never stay in this overpriced gross hotel! Everything as stated above!

We had to work late so having someone check us in late was great
