La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sulphur (Lake Charles)

Clean, friendly staff, safe..

We arrived late and left early. The rate and accommodations fit our needs well.

At arrival there was the plastic part that you take off a razor for women, in the tubs drain but the tub didn't appear to be dirty,and the plastic seemed to be new so my friend just removed it with gloves. That was a reason I gave 4 stars and it is pet friendly so on our last day there was someone with a dog in pool. Good thing we were already out. I'm not sure if that's acceptable or not but who wants to get in pool if they see a dog? Other than that the place is clean, and i especially loved how friendly everyone was. We sat at pool, someone started barbecuing, we played music on our phone and little girl and her mom started singing along, and now my daughter has a new friend who was up next morning for check out waiting for us so she can give another hug. Breakfast is served every morning. I plan on going back. I'm a huge fan of clean bathrooms and besides that one thing which would of been a no stay for me except everything else was good so we stayed. I would recommend the housekeeper double check thoroughly before leaving because I don't understand how that plastic got there without being dirty or anything but it definitely should of been removed.

I would suggest to keep fresh hot coffee available most of the morning. It was 9:30 am and there was no more coffee left :( Other than that…great place to stay!

Location was good for our journey. Location of room. Bed was too high for family member with handicap to sleep in. She had to sleep in a chair.

Staff and Hotel was excellent! Only when checking in the staff needs too mention about using a third party card for incidentals. I used a Cash App card and still have not received it back.

We stayed over night getting in at 1 AM. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was great. One staff member, Laura, was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again.

The room was not clean when I entered. I asked for another room and was denied this request. The next day, it was cleaned for me. Overall, I feel like the property is not well kept.
