Nothing really - but at least I had a room over my head for the night and had a hot shower before I went to bed. The place reminded me of a public housing for the underprivileged. The entrance to the stairs was at some alley way.

Very pretty location next to a beach. The laundry was a bit pricey.

The customer service was exceptional. The receptionist really went out of her way to help us with directions for the next day and ensured we had towels and items for use of the onsen. She was really wonderful, all the staff were amazing to deal with. Very friendly and spoke English well! The neighboring onsen was delightful after a long day of travelling. It overlooks the ocean and has a steam room along with warm pools. And completely free! Great facilities. Pristine! The room was bigger than we expected which is a great surprise. It also came with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It was perfect for a night and I found the room very clean and comfortable. The double bed was also quite cosy. The location was perfect! On the right you can see Sumato castle and the left is the bus terminal which gives you access to both the north and south of Awaji Island. There's a good choice of local izakayas and restaurants in the area all within walking distance. And you're very close to the beach! The Internet was patchy in the apartment.

nothing very rundown..and I paid over $550 just for one nite. No lift and had to carry bags up to the 5th floor. Metal doors and the whole surrounding was very noisy. Woke up several times in the middle of the nite from noisy neighbours. Gave us a kettle with no disposal cups or any kind of cups. The apartment is as full of flying insects. Toilet doors cannot be locked and one of the room has a missing door. horrible
