The location is great. It's conveniently located in Surabaya, within walking distance of several coffee shops and restaurants, making it easy to find food and places to hang out My room was a bit dark, which made it feel less comfortable. The slippers provided had visible stains, and the sink drain was clogged, causing the water to drain very slowly. This may not be the case for every room, but it was my experience during my stay.

The room was spacious, comfortable and practically furnished. Breakfast selection was extensive. Staff were helpful and eager to please. The bathroom light could not be switched off, a flaw that could not be promptly fixed. Staff offered to move me to a new room; as I did not want the trouble of repacking I asked to stay in the same room and just disconnected the electricity to achieve darkness for sleeping.

Had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya.The hotel atmosphere was comfortable, elegant, and very welcoming throughout my stay. Special thanks to Ms. Lintang at the Front Desk for her friendliness, professionalism. She made guests feel genuinely valued and well taken care of. The location is perfect Location is perfect but the hotel like old buildings and bit dumb inside cause for the five stars hotel it looks like unworthy found out cockroach ?in my room. I was massively shocked and managed to kill it.

Everything except breakfast. Breakfast selection was poor. Quality was not good. Most hot items were not hot. I found human hair in Rock Melon. I show the staff. She offered to cut up a fresh plate. I accepted the offer.

Everything is ok except the limited of elevator, there are 4 elevators but it can be used only 2 elevators. I have made a reservation for 3 nights, the first 2 nights were booked through booking.com and the other night was booked directly through the hotel website. The check-in date was 13/04/25. I requested the receptionist to change the booking information on 15-16/04/2025 that was made directly with the hotel (as of 13/04/2025, I can change or cancel the booking in the 2nd booking) by changing the booking from a room including breakfast to a room only booking, excluding breakfast (I had an early morning flight). For such a change, the room rate should be cheaper. However, when collecting the money, the staff charged the room rate at the original rate, which was a room with breakfast, and then informed me that your room does not include breakfast. This I checked the total amount again and found out that the staff did not change the booking conditions. So I showed the staff the room rate including breakfast stated in the email. The staff was silent and asked what time my flight was and that the restaurant would prepare a breakfast box. Actually, I did not mind it at all. If the staff did not lie, it would be like I was deceived by the hotel/staff.

The connection providing TV to the room was unstable and it frequently broke when watching a movie.

The location was central with easy access to shopping centers and eateries. The manager Adi was friendly, approachable and helpful in meeting the needs of the guests such as helping us get transport to the nearby shopping malls. The Makan Kitchen breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of food.
