Overlooking a lake and parkland, Stanton House Hotel is an beautiful stone house that nestles amid the picturesque Wiltshire countryside. There are two restaurants and all rooms are en suite. It was in a lovely countryside location, the room had aircon. The breakfast was good. The room was quite small, not much room at the side of the bed. Room had no fridge.

Location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room far too small. Had we been large people it would not have been manageable.

Real Old house The house was maintained as if the hotel is not making money. Lighting in the lift were not working properly, lift looks cheap (loud), telephone in the room cannot even reach the reception - not sure there’s always no reception or the phone is always out of order.

Lovely location near enough to M4 to break the journey. Friendly and helpful staff. Dinner menu OK (but not worth travelling for). Good breakfast buffet. The room was just big enough to hold the double bed!

The building and the grounds (other than the parking lot) are lovely . The rooms and the interior , eg stairwells and halls are terribly dated and need a complete renovation. Very unkept..
