It was very low key and relaxed. The pub part is open until 4am so I was non worried about getting back late from the theatre. The room was clean and comfortable and no issues at all.

Location, location, location. Directly across the street from Central Station, use Exit 6. Friendly and helpful staff. It was easy to check-in at the bar. Access code to enter the building and the room made everything smooth and easy to get in and out. I would stay there again when visiting Sydney. Highly recommended. Nothing to dislike. Double thumbs up.

location excellent, very central very clean and facilities great

A face washer would be nice. And a least rubbish emptied each day. The young woman who checked us in was quite surly, appeared disinterested and almost rude.

Conveniently located to Central station, newly renovated rooms. Downstairs and the interior hallways gave very old school Australian pub vibes with beautiful parquet floors and woodwork. Occasionally you could hear the sound of train brakes/whistles and people on the street at night in the room, but the trains passed pretty quickly and was remedied with ear plugs.
-
This is a very noisy place, especially if your room overlooks the 24 hour sports bar across the road. In fairness, the hotel did provide ear plugs for the guests

Easy access for metro, close enough to downtown without feeling overstimulated Noise from trains and crosswalk meter as well as a huge light right outside the window was difficult to ignore at night. Early in the morning of both nights, 4:00 AM and 6:30 AM, there were really loud hammering and drilling sounds from main floor construction in the pub as they are doing renovations. Had to go down to complain and was not the only person who did so. I did not get to sleep well at all. The WiFi was also really spotty

Old pub but the room was large, well soundproofed & airconditioned. Great shower. Elevator to rooms. Ideal location for the light rail & central railway station. Typical pub meals served. Very busy area but good. Code entry so no key to carry. Had pickup from the airport included. The jackhammer one morning as renovations are being done. The initial view of the pub on a rainy dark evening. No window to open for fresh air.

Great location and newly renovated rooms. Perfect for our family. Accessing rooms via the pub area with kids.

There was nothing that went well about this booking- the property was nothing like the advertised- our family was 'creeped out' and did not stay- there was also a family trauma event and this did not help at all. The place was literally falling apart- the taps, air con, holes in the wall- it was nothing like the pictures and the price was exorbitant for the state of the room. We are so disappointed it makes us not want to book through the service again-

the room was large and the bed was comfortable and clean. the bathroom shower floor had cracked and had come away, revealing dirt and looked unpleasant. The taps were loose and wobbled when used.

Great central location. I needed to work the next day in Surry Hills, so I couldn't get a better spot. The room itself had been renovated, so it's a lot more up-market than I was expecting from pub accommodation. Because the pub downstairs is open to 4am, and I was on Level 1, I would recommend ear plugs or similar if you are staying there because there was a definitely a bass / drums combo coming through the floor in the wee small hours.

The staff were exceptional, informative. I left my wallet at the bar and they immediately ran it up to my room with everything in it. Lovely humans Drainage for shower. I just felt bad I had to use the towels to soak up the overflow and didn't want to create more work for staff

Location very close to Central Station. Good recent renovation One room ( which I declined) had no window. Rumble from nearby trams ( though I slept through it).

Absolutely nothing. Worst experience ever!!! Don't waste your money and save a big headache. The place IS NOT a hotel it is a PUB with some rooms on top. When we arrived, the place was CLOSED and when we managed to talk to one of the personnel from the PUB, he left us outside, in the street! With a terrible attitude told us "You're not allowed to enter, the hotel is closed. Come back later when we open" and closed the door leaving us literally in the street with our luggage. We called Booking.com to cancel the reservation due to all the above, they contacted the "hotel" (PUB) and they refuse to assist in anything, not even allowed us to leave the luggage in the front desk and come back later. Of course, they don't have a front desk because is a PUB, not a hotel. At the end, had to look for another place to stay and accepted that we just lost around $700. To me, it felt like being scammed!
