The location to the Capital Theatre, easy walking distance. Not much to say about that.

Hotel venue and staff were great. I booked a family room for 3 adults and 3 children (3 double beds) which was booked through Booking.com. When I arrived there was 1x double and 2x singles (beds short for 2 ppl). When I flagged with hotel staff they advised there must had been an issue with bookings.com as that number of people in a room shouldn't have been submitted. There was some miscommunication between the system and hotel. There was onlt 2 rooms available in the hotel at $450 for the night. The work around was for me to pay $160 EXTRA for 2x single beds to be added across 2 rooms we had booked. Very disappointed with this. Will be using another booking system in the future and won't be staying at Rydges Worldsquare again. It really made the experience poor.

Big room Blood stains on pillowcases

It was located right in the middle of Sydney. Plenty of food and beverage options everywhere and convenience shops are all walking distance. There's no where to stop to drop your luggage. There was a bus only area but even then you have to go up another level to check-in. Room's OK but it's starting to run down now

Location was perfect. The venue we went to was right across the road. It was a little dated and there was a funny smell, not dirty but smelt like chlorine

I had an issue with the light sensor in my room, which was not working properly. The room was very cold when I arrived, so I spent some time at the thermostat near the entry door, trying to adjust the heating. The light sensor deactivated and wouldn't reactivate, despite my walking under it multiple times. A technician came to the room, and it automatically worked again just as he arrived. I'd arrived very late (after 10pm) so was keen to get to bed and had to wait for this to be looked at. The bed was very poorly made, with the bottom sheet barely coming to the top edge of the mattress, and it was hanging to the floor on the side (i.e. not tucked in). Together with the light issue and the late hour, this was very off-putting and made the room feel used. I asked to be moved to another room but was told nothing was available.

Spacious room, clean and comfy, wonderfully central with a variety of eateries at your doorstep. Our air conditioning system was very noisy but we didn’t really need it on so not a major.

Please see the comment below. It was completely impossible to sleep in the room which I was initially allocated. When I called reception after struggling for some hours they quickly arranged for me to be moved to a quiet room on the other side of the hotel. I appreciate this. I would also commend a member of the concierge staff - I think his name was Salvatore? He called a taxi after I checked out then waited with me. I was approached by a man on crutches who asked for money. Salvatore remained close to ensure that I felt safe. I gave the man a few dollars but he did not leave. Salvatore spoke courteously to him - defusing a potentially unpleasant situation - and then suggested discreetly that I wait inside the hotel. I thought his manner in this situation was ideal. I was initially allocated room 2020. It is a lovely suite, however, the noise rising from outside (Friday nightlife) was horrendous. Continuous screaming, shouting, blasting of horns, punctuated by sirens. I tried sleeping in the bathroom, but without additional blankets having been provided the floor was too hard and cold. I finally ang reception to plead for assistance. To the hotel's great credit, I was quickly moved to 1951, on the other side of the hotel. This room is quiet and comfortable. Speaking with other guests of the hotel the next day learned that regulars often ask specifically to avoid the side where I was initially placed. Please can management address the issue by investing in proper sound-proofing? I understand that not all noise can be precluded, however, the situation I faced on the Friday night - prior to an important work engagement the next day - was completely unacceptable in a four-star hotel. When I rang reception the staff member who answered was initially sceptical. "You shouldn't hear anything on the 20th floor", she said. When a young man arrived to assist me to relocate, I asked him to step into the bedroom to hear for himself. He did! Another point of concern. When I was escorted to room 1951 at about 1.00am in the morning I noticed a tray with half-eaten food outside the 'Electrical' room near the lifts. It was still there on Sunday morning. A fellow guest who spoke with me while we waited for a lift pointed to it and remarked that it had been there for several days. I then spoke with reception staff who said that they would get someone to remove it. I wonder how this went unnoticed by any member of staff for so long?

Clean room and friendly staff. It was a bit confusing at the restaurant during breakfast service. The hostess staff was unsure whether our breakfast was included and couldn't double-check. We had to find the table ourselves during the busy period instead of a staff member guiding us there.
