The Pod Sydney - Hostel

Great location. Near Town hall Hyde Park and Coles grocery. Wanted to stay a month

The staff are very kind and friendly. The property is as clean as a hostel can be. Centre of the city is very convenient. The Pod promised quiet nights. But the club downstairs is 7 days a week 10pm-4am very loud music. I wish this was mentioned in the advertisement because I would not have booked it- but by the time I found out it was too late to get my money back. I am not sure if this is not mentioned because those that stay at the Pod are offered cash back for reviews and thus conveniently don't mention it. The music downstairs is so loud It reverberates through the walls and through the bed. Ear plugs don't do anything for that level of noise. My noise cancelling headphones still couldn't get rid of the noise and the profound bass from the venue downstairs that reverberated through the entire building and kept me from sleeping.

Cleanliness and a fresh towel are a plus; staff and reception are also very helpful. Nothing

Comfy It needs windows that open in the bedrooms for health and safety and ventilation in the bathrooms.

Nice and private having a pod. Bathrooms close by, not busy. Close to good food and the trains. The lockers were a little small so they didn't fit my big suitcase. The top bunk is not closed in from the room light, however there's not much light at night so using an eye mask would solve this problem.

The reception staff (the guy and the ladies) were amazingly supportive and I had a great conversation with the gentleman in the reception. It was difficult to sleep at night since there was music/concert noise coming from somewhere else to the room.

The hostel itself is exceptionally clean, especially the bathrooms, which were always spotless and well maintained. The common area is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. I also really appreciated how quiet everyone was at night, making it easy to get a good rest. The only downside during my stay was that the room I was staying in became quite hot at night. I’m personally sensitive to heat, and it caused me to wake up a few times. Unfortunately, The Pod was fully booked for the next night, so I had to stay at another hostel nearby for a night at a similar price. After comparing the two places, I would recommend The Pod Sydney by far. Overall, I would happily stay here again. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere make The Pod Sydney one of the best hostels I’ve experienced.

They helped my girlfriend and me out on multiple occasions, and their kindness really made our stay much more enjoyable. Very clean and in perfect condition. The bed was comfortable and big enough to sleep well Just a bit of dust

The location is excellent, right in CBD, close to Town Hall Station. The space is well maintained, very cleaned and organised. During the nights, I had a simple blanket and I thought I could feel too cold but the room temperature was maintained warm. Showers and toilets were clean and not clamped I don’t have any complaints

I enjoyed my time at the Pod Sydney. The towel exchange every three days was an added bonus and the staff were super friendly and nice. It was a shame there was no access to fresh air on the property. All windows were sealed. The rooms became warm easily & used recycled air, felt like being on an airplane. Also there was no mention of an alcohol ban on booking.com. You were simply provided with a list of rules on arrival that stated "no alcohol on the premises. Was pretty misleading. I feel like this should we clearly stated when booking the property.

Easily accessible to the city area. The beds are comfortable enough for a one to two-day stay. The rooms are warm, and the air conditioning is not adjustable. Would need more clean showers and toilets, though The showers and toilets were not clean enough, it felt more like a public shower/ at pools etc

They were super helpful staff, quiet place to stay. Beds and pillows comfy and blanket was good. Very nice place.
