The location was great. Easy walks to Harbour Bridge, the farmers market, Sydney Opera house, and York St area. Loved learning about the dig site as well. Rooms were comfy and clean. The breakfast had nice continental options and you had extras choices for purchase.

The common areas of the YHA were well-kept, bright and airy with plenty of space to sit and eat or do work on your laptop. The common kitchen had plenty of space and equipment for about 3/4 groups of guests to prepare and cook food. The storage space for each guest in a shared dorm-room should have been equipped with combination locks for security. Although a towel was provided for each guest, there was no provision for airing the towel in between uses.

The location was fantastic, and the rooftop bar was unbelievable! Good prices with an amazing view of the opera house, sunrise, sunset, etc. That was the selling point for me. A lot of kids stay here for school trips it seems like. This meant it was a bit noisy all the time. Recommend bringing earplugs or putting on white noise.
