Unique, rooms were small but had terrific amenities. Checking process after hours was tedious & lengthy

I have waited almost 2 months to review this hotel because I wanted to give them time to refund our deposit. Never happened. First, the hotel is lovely, in a great location, spacious, clean, perfect actually. However, the fact that there is no one on duty after 7 pm is deal breaker for us. We will NEVER again book a hotel without 24 hr. reception. Having had a 30 hr. flight, exhausted with dying phone service, etc., we were to pay a deposit by phone in order to be admitted into the building and our room. We are older and not very used to using our phones for this purpose. It took us over 2 hours and an incredible amount of frustration to finally get in. Since then, I have called numerous times for the refund of the deposit which we have never received. I just checked our credit card statements once more and nothing was refunded. We stayed in late March! I am tired of calling Australia, so I have given up. See above.

Lovely spacious, clean rooms with basic kitchen facilities & a nespresso! Great location with a supermarket and lots of eateries nearby. Redfern station was just a 4 min walk from the hotel which connects to most of sydney! Nothing not to like.

Clean rooms. Comfy bed. Great shower. Secure building. Friendly staff. Lots to like about this neat little hotel. Had to pay a $200 bond when I arrived. This was returned promptly on my departure but other hotels just take credit card details in case they need to cover a cost.

We had an excellent stay and would recommend Hoteloco to family and friends.

Beautiful hotel in a charming neighborhood. The location was within easy walking distance to the train station that serviced all the places we wanted to go. Mostly, we spent our time at the Sydney harbor, a very easy quick train ride to and from the hotel. The front desk man was super helpful with storing our bags and making us feel very welcome and comfortable when we arrived early. Very accommodating after a very long flight! Also, there are a couple good restaurants within easy walking distance of Hoteloco if you want to just stay in the neighborhood. Nothing. We liked everything.

Wonderful stay! Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, from offering suggestions for local eateries and shops to assistance with troubleshooting flight cancellations/delays. The room was well appointed with just the right amount of space. The location can't be best as it was walking distance to restaurants, shops and public transportation. I highly recommend! I would have loved it if they had a bar or restaurant inside the hotel for those evenings when you don't really want to be out but don't want to be in your room either.

Hotel entrance should be more visible.

Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood. Super clean and comfy room. My partner said the shower was the best shower he’s ever used.

Location was great near the train station (Redfern) and the room was clean, complete amenities and spacious. I had a laundry service but took two days instead of 1 day only to get back.

Great location and simple process for booking arrival stay and departure. Close to shops, pubs and transport.

The location is absolutely perfect for convenience to trainstations and newtown (great food). The carpets are black, which means you cant see whether its dirty or clean. One day, we spilled water on it accumulated and when we cleaned it up with a towel, the towel turned very dark and dirty with so much debris and hair (2nd day we were there and we dont wear shoes on carpet and hair that wasnt our color). Obviously I understand hotels dont have time to deep clean each unit so to each their own!

This hotel is very new, the rooms were modern, clean and very tidy. We had a lovely time staying here. The Nespresso machine, microwave, plates and cutlery were greatly appreciated, the bathroom was super clean. Bed was comfy, 3 minute walk to the train station, and great Gelato just down the road Nothing I can think of
