Red Roof Inn Syracuse

I did not like the fact that someone from the hotel called me and told me they closed down the hotel, one week before my date of arrival (Mother’s Day weekend), which was reserved back in February due to graduation weekend.

Expedia should have notified me the place had shutdown. Drove 500 miles with no place to stay. Not a good feeling to be left in the cold. If this actually gets read, I hope in the future you update your clientele with important info as changes are made.

It was absolutely terrible. It was advertised as a non-smoking establishment. Every room smell worse than an old bar ashtray staying in the room for more than one minute. My clothes had already smelled like it. The first room they sent me in the door didn’t even shut. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If it was the last roof available to put over somebody’s head a tent in the middle of the medium on a super busy freeway would’ve been a safe place to stay the night.

No one at desk when arriving, had to call out for someone to check me in. Key failed to work in door, had to walk to lobby and call out for someone to assist me. Key worked but had to shoulder door to open. No phone in room to report TV not working, had to walk to report it not working. Told it would be fixed but never was. Room was only cleaned one day. Left room on Thursday morning, April 09/26 and told them toilet was not working. Came back to room late that night and found bed not made, toilet not fixed with strong odor from toilet because not being able to be flushed. Walked to lobby and had to call out for someone. Explained what I found and was told no one there to help till morning I immediately check out leaving two nights left on my reservation.. I think this RED ROOF INN should be investigated by EXPEDIA, Health Department, Fire Department, City of Syracuse and County and State investigators.

The blanket and towels were blemished, the toilet smelled like someone had vomited, and there was no hairdryer. I even found a cockroach. Overall, this is a poorly managed hotel.

The rooms was dirty.The sheet was filthy and disgusting.And they look like they haven't been changed in months, that was garbage all underneath the beds.The roaches was crawling around.It was disgusting in your people are rude and disrespectful and very racist Nothing

Nothing I stayed in 201 when I was here. There was A horrible odor upon walking in the room and I told the guy at the front desk. He offered to change rooms so I went to the other one and it smelled bad too so I decided I’d just stay in the first one. At some point I literally couldn’t handle the smell of mold and cigarettes and told them I’d like a refund because I wouldn’t be staying the night. He said okay and that the manager will do it tomorrow morning. I stayed the night at Dennys across the street and returned in the morning to speak to the manager. The manager wasn’t in when I returned and I had a plane to catch so I told the front desk to leave a note and he said okay. I never got the refund…

The location was ideal as this was close to where we were working The room was very dirty, smelled like cigarettes there was absolutely no hot water from the sink or the shower. The toilet was dirty. The air conditioner was covered in dust. I booked the room for two nights and only stayed the first night because it was unsanitary and unhealthy to stay.

Conveniently located next to Denny’s restaurant Refrigerator was broken did not get cold and there wasn’t any heat in the room heat. For the three days that I stayed there there was no room service. I had to empty my own trash and I went and bought washcloths and towels. There was a coffee maker in the room, but however, there was no coffee, pot filters, coffee, or even cups.
