Staff great

We’ve been staying at different hotels in Tacoma during visits with our daughter. The Marriott Tacoma Downtown is our new favorite. It has everything we need for a comfortable stay—and the gym is great.
-
The people next door partied all night and the front desk clerk didn’t register my car resulting in a parking ticket

Parking was convenient and quick. The restaurant was great!
-
Great location, excellent stay, would stay there again!
-
My stay was great overall. Location to my event was perfect being only a couple of blocks away.
-
it was great staying here, me and my husband LOVED the food!! definitely worth booking again, only downside was that the pool was closed for maintenance:( but other than that i recommend staying here if you’re in the area!💙

The property was very clean and was very impressed with how nice the staff was. You had to pay for breakfast-it is not free. No free coffee bar either. They were somewhat stingy on the towels. The first day I had wash cloths, hand towels and bath towels. The next day they only refilled the bath towels. Never received wash cloths again. They made the beds but did not sweep. My biggest complaint is that the pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance during my 3 day stay. So I was extremely bummed even when they wouldn’t offer a small refund. They also double charged me for my stay. I paid back in March on Expedia and they charged my card when I got there. However the lady was able to give me a refund on the second charge once I brought it to her attention. I stayed here for the convenience of the convention center, but I might look around at other options next time.

The pool was empty and was the whole reason we booked. No notice of this amenity being off line was frustrating.

The shower and shower head were very nice. Air conditioning was great. Front desk staff were very friendly.

Shower leaked water onto floor

Poor

Had a nice stay. Only negative was the pool is shut down without notice online which is why we chose this location for the kids. However the staff did compensate us with free parking for the inconveniences.
-
Room was clean and ready early. Hotel was full for a dance convention. I think they should have staffed up to help maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel and provided more breakfast options in the M club. Several times we went down and there was no food or clean dishes available.

At check-in, the line was long and the credit card reader was not working, making check-in at a fully booked hotel that much longer. The issue prevailed through the night, as room service could not run a card either. The IT dept decided to update key card locks on rooms in the evening while the hotel was fully booked, frightening hotel guests and made it uneasy to sleep, as it sounded as if someone was attempting to enter the room. the hotel did send a letter stating this was going to happen, but did not explain that it would be in the evening. And due to the key card update, no guest knew that SOME elevators required a key card to go to some floors and created a back-up and chaos at the elevators. There is no valet parking. and no microwave in the rooms.

The staff was wonderful, and the room was exquisite.
-
The pool was closed in May, and the experience would be better if we had access to the lounge. You have to pay extra for that. For the cost of the hotel, more amenities ahould be included.
-
Was not aware the pool and hot tub were not available.
