K Hotel - Yizhong

Close to night market. Good value.

Convenient location right by yizhong street, easily walkable room felt a little small

Location is good shopping area is just right below the hotel. Room are spacious and clean. There is a bathtub in the 4 pax room. The entrance was at the alley. Took us awhile before we found it. Bed is the bouncy kind. Check in is at level 9 of the building.

Location and size of room

Upon checking in, the staff gave a very personal introduction to Taichung by providing us with personalized recommendations by the hotel staff (in the form of a brochure). This came in super handy as we were exploring freely and the gesture was heartwarming. Room was generally quite clean and spacious, with a somewhat nice city view. The toilet is big enough and was separated by a wet and dry area, with strong water pressure. Appreciated that they had a hand soap for washing hands too! The bed and pillows are pretty comfortable to sleep in. We requested for housekeeping for one of the days, and Jenn did a great job in tidying up our room - she even wrote a very cute personal note to us, awesome! Location wise, it is not walkable to Taichung station, but it is about 2 bus stops away. Buses are the primary mode of transport in Taichung and the bus stop is just opposite/downstairs the hotel so it is not an issue. There are lots of food options nearby the hotel, as it is directly near the university, with Yizhong night market being downstairs. Only downside is that the sound proofing of the hotel, as one of the nights I could hear muffled noises from the next door in the middle of the night (but I think the guy was also talking pretty/shouting loudly)

The staff were friendly and accommodating when it comes to finding destinations and booking of taxis. Nearby place to stay for night markets and anime toy shops.

The location is perfect. It's very close to the night market. The room was a bit small. We had to bring breakfast to my room and eat in the small space.

Location was good as the night market was just downstairs. Room is clean and shower facilities were good. Breakfast selection could be better but it is still value for money.

Value for money for the pricing; Yizhong market directly below the hotel. Requests for extra pillows were attended to by the hotel. Hotel lobby was a bit hard to locate, at the back of the street and at level 10, friendly hotel staff, requests for extra pillow was attended to. Soundproofing between the rooms was quite poor - there were other hotel guests staying in the rooms that were noisy at 1 am+ and it affected our sleep. However, within 10 minutes of informing the reception, they quietened down. Props to the reception for managing the hotel guests.
