The Slow Town Hotel was very clean, with a comfortable bed, a good air system, and a nice shower and bath. Location was good, near Taichung Park and the River Walk, within walking distance of the train station. Easy half-hour walk to downtown and the art museum, which was impressive. The room was advertised as having a “city view”, but the only view out the small window was the wall of the building next door, which one could reach out and touch without any effort. It wasn’t a bad room, but should never have been described as having a “city view”. It was effectively a windowless room.

Tiny room with a bunch of LEDs glowing on your face at night from the ceiling. Plenty of noises from drains from other rooms. Not a good night experience.

Great location, clever use of space, everything functional, comfortable bed and very clean. Quiet street close to everything. Loved my smart toilet. Would love to take a shower without entire bathroom getting wet…

I couldn’t sleep all night because from dust mites I found out was coming from air handler (a/c unit) the register grill was very dirty needs vacuum.. Baseboards are never cleaned also was cockroach front of my room I’m all writhing this review hopefully takes their attention..

The only thing I didn’t like is that the window shades didn’t block out the light very well. Sunrise is at 7:00 a.m. so it was difficult to sleep

Very helpful rezeption, hotel is in the city center. Quiet room, water dispenser for free, little refrigerator, climate and modern shower. Very clean room :) The room was very small with no windows.

Comfortable beds in a modern windowless room. The rooms are small but still functional and fine for a couple of nights. Staff are friendly and you can leave luggage early before check in. The soundproofing is non-existent. You can hear spoken conversations and TVs from adjoining rooms as well as water running above. Unfortunately, the hotel is let down by this.
