Comfy room with good aircon. Good breakfast. Roof terrace was a nice place to have breakfast. Staff were helpful

It was hard to get to by car due to very narrow street and road construction however we got lucky and found a parking spot nearby.

Everything was superb! There are no negatives.

This was a perfect place for us to stay during the bad weather. We had a lovely room, an excellent breakfast every morning, a coffee machine, a comfortable common space where we could meet other guests. And Sagrita, the staff person who seemed to do everything was so welcoming! We liked everything!

Staff, location, breakfast and cozy and comfortable feeling there

Nice lodging in excellent location. Friendly and help staff. Very good breakfast. Nothing.

Wonderful location! Tucked away enough to be quiet in the evenings, but close enough to all the action on both sides of the river. Sangita greeted us with a warm welcome and gave us the lay of the land and plenty of recommendations. Definitely sign up for the breakfast! It’s served on the terrace with great views. Delicious fresh fruit, tea/coffee and yummy pastries and cheese. Communication was quick and thorough. This is especially helpful because you must park away from the property. Super friendly staff all around! Not a dislike, but two keys for the room would have been useful.

Close to town Parking not close and hard to find.

Lovely people and charming place with an indoor garden. Very close to the center of town. Nothing

Friendly staff & great location! The shower was slow to drain and the internet was a bit weak (not suitable for downloads or uploads). Other than that it was great!

We loved Calcada guest house. Very gracious and helpful hosts and staff. Breakfasts were generous and delicious. Our room was stunning and the location very central, only a few minutes walk and we were in the heart of Tavira.
-
The rooftop terrace for breakfast was lovely. Location handy for walking to the town and river. Our bedroom was a little gloomy, on the basement without a view, but had satisfactory facilities.
-
This is our second visit to the Calcada. Excellent hosting by Sangita. Spotlessly clean and tidy with great facilities such as tea and coffee and fridge to keep beer and wine. The main square and Roman Bridge are just 2-3 minutes walk.

location. style and internal layout of the building very tastefully decorated. very quiet at night lovely comfortable bed.. the staff were outstanding, very pleasant, charming and ensured everything was to our satisfaction. Nothing, it was all good.

Great location in heart of old town, a few steps from river. Restored old building - lovely room (#1) and plenty of shared places to sit and read/ write/chat. Tea/ coffee/ water dock available for guests in lounge; fridge available on roof terrace. Peaceful oasis - very nicely decorated. Charming, efficient staff - the British owners didn’t appear, but the place is expertly run by two delightful Nepalese women. Great breakfast - plus they made special Gluten free pancakes for me. Liked everything.
-
Breakfast - delightful! Delicious, refreshing and so relaxing on the roof terrace! Room - bright, airy, clean, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and toiletries.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast were delicious. The location was perfect as it was close to the station. Staff were super helpful and responsive whenever I messaged to ask something. The place was very cozy. On days where you’d like to take a break from your excursions or activities staying in wouldn’t be so bad because the place is very cozy! Highly recommend! 10/10

Perfect location; really enjoyed Tavira and the community. Many options for restaurants. Great day at the beach. Loved our peaceful breakfasts on the rooftop. Not much. It all was quite enjoyable.Rarely saw or needed to interface with the staff. As we left we couldn't locate anyone, but she came out to get our passport #'s and ended up carrying my suitcase to the top of the hill, very sweet!
