Tbilisi View Hotel

This is not the same hotel that everyone raved about one year ago (myself included). Giga is gone. The experience is not the same, and the management and staff working there now do not care. That said, the view from the balconies is still nice, and the breakfast is still decent. This time we got Room 106, which is two floors below the reception, which feels like a dungeon. Despite the listing here on this website, there was no refrigerator in the room. I mentioned this to the receptionist, but he just shrugged. The beds were small like kids' beds, super low to the floor, and the pillows were old and worn out. The air-con struggled to cool the room properly. There was no bidet in the bathroom. The toilet sometimes did not refill with water right away. We found food trash from a previous guest in the desk drawer which was obviously not cleaned thoroughly. Our room would not lock from the outside. We notified the receptionist, and left the key with him as we went out for the day. We came back to find it had not been fixed, and our room had just been left open all day (with our passports, etc., as there is also no safe in the room). Poor lighting. No shelves or hooks in the bathroom. The location is inconvenient, as there is nothing nearby, and we knew this already from our last stay, but now it's no longer worth it. We will never stay here again.

The shower was broken, and the furniture was quite old and worn. There was also a lot of noise starting around 8am, which made it difficult to rest

Amazing atmosphere with breath taking view of the city center straight from your balcony! The hosts were very kind great hospitality. A little difficult to walk back to the hotel since its on a slope but taxis are very affordable in Tbilisi so it was not a big deal at all!

not all rooms are similar in quality

The view from the room was wonderful and the breakfast delicious. The staff, was very attentive. The hotel's location isn't the best because it's on a hill far from the center of the city, and the access to the hotel isn't easy because there's no ramp for luggage.

Clean room

The hotel needs urgent repairs. It isn't simply worn out - our room had plenty of broken fixtures, and the bathroom showed visible mold and dark rust stains. The man at reception was indifferent to the concerns we raised and showed no willingness to help or improve the situation. May be it was just this room and other rooms are better, but our experience wasn't the best.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was nice, and varied every day. Room was spacious The uphill walk was expected, but it was fine. The hotel is somewhat old and outdated, a lot of cracks in the walls and our balcony door kept malfunctioning.

We waited half an hour to check in because the staff was having technical difficulties. During checkout, we discovered that payment was only possible in cash. We didn't have the local currency, so they asked us to pay in dollars. We gave them $200, but they couldn't find change for $50 in any currency, so they asked us to go exchange the money a few blocks away. After we opened the change, we unexpectedly discovered

Hotel met our expectations, we had a wonderful stay. Special thanks to Mara in the kitchen for a good mood and bringing us fresh food, and receptionist Ilona for help managing 3 rooms as well as help finding a restaurant.

The hotel is located at an amazing spot. Very near from major (Old Tbilisi) attractions. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are great people (special thanks to Gigi and Elona). They will go extra mile to accommodate you and make you feel comfortable. 10/10! I loved it and I look forward to be back in the same hotel in future.

Balconies of the rooms are all connected so not much privacy. But it was not major we still enjoyed our stay a lot.

We enjoyed the location - close to the TV tower and Liberty square as well as very friendly hosts (especially Mara). It was our first time in Tbilisi - so it was nice experience. Internet connection wasn’t stable during our stay.
