Hostel Near The Square

The people in the hostel was so kind to us, it is in very good location and it was good price. We can stay in there next time again.

Nothing. Staff was exceptionally rude, constantly yelling throughout the day and into late at night. I paid for a private room, but there was no way to avoid the noise from the staff regardless of guests' room placement. Furnishings were not pleasant to look at, uncomfortable, and of the cheapest quality. Spanish woman guests passed her hand across my rear end. She is living out of this place and in collusion with the staff. The hostel is kept dirty with mold and mildew on walls and also in the bathroom. One bathroom for about 15 guests.

Nice clean hostel. The staff keeps everything clean. The rooms were nice.

The staff was super friendly and even provided us with local food on New Year's Eve. They are very nice and helpful! The room doesn't have a window, it was a bit cold as it is like a basement, and there's only one bathroom.

Clean Hostel with Great Location and Best Staff Nothing I can find

The staff is extremely kind. They helped me by receiving me at strange hours... sometimes early in the day (at around noon) and sometimes late at night (at around midnight.) They keep their location impeccably clean and I thought all guests were polite and respectful in the "public areas" such as the dining area and the bathrooms. This hostel is not located in the "Old Town" but rather in a district across the Mtkvari River. Hostel Near the Square is easily accessed from the Marjanishvili Metro Station and it is an area where native Georgians live, work, and play. There are supermarkets, bakeries, banks with ATMs, and other establishments very close to the hostel. Being near Marjanishvili station, it is very easy to get to the airport, the main train station, Old Town, etc. I didn't like that I couldn't stay in Georgia longer!

The staff tried to keep the hostel clean, they cleaned the common areas multiple times a day, but it was still somewhat dirty. The hostel rooms re in the basement without any windows, there is some ventilation system, but the air was stale and musty. It felt like a prison cell. There were no lockable cabinets, where you could keep your luggage safe. There was only one key for each room (for 4 people). There was no connector in the room, it was only possible to charge my electronics in the corridor (common area). The kitchen was poorly equiped. I only stayed in the hostel for the nights, but it was awful escpecially compared to other Georgian hostels for the same price.

Exceptional

The ladies managing the hostel were very nice and helpful although they didn't speak English. The location is good to move around and close to the metro. The place was clean and the price very reasonable. The bed was not very comfortable and in the rooms there are no windows (is basically a basement). There is only one toilet.

Clean hostel I'm satisfied

Everything was clean, comfortable beds and it has a small kitchen with microwave It says that the room has air conditioner but it didn’t. There is only at the reception but it’s usually off. It was a little hot in the room during summer.

Calm and clean hostel managed by lovely and smiling people. Made me try an homemade khachapuri (Thanks again! :) ) Quiet at night despite cars' traffic in the street. Conveniently located in Chugureti.

Disappointing

Welcoming and friendly administrators. They always help and care about the comfort of the guests. The rooms are clean, there is a place to eat.

Very clean. Such nice people on staff. They are trying their best. Proficient English-speaking staff. Coffee & tea. Clean sheets & a towel. Adequate location with plenty of shops around. Great refrigerator & kitchen area. Slightly congested windowless basement dormitory. Ventilation issue. Needs to be aired out from above more often. Like a damp humidifier. You can hear everything around you. Especially someone beside you talking in the next room. Lower the cost of stay per night to balance it out. For that price you can get a better deal across the city.

The staff, ownership and the house maid were very kind to me. I arrived at Tbilisi at 5.15 AM and it was cold in March. I book another hostel before this "Hostel Near The Square" but the host was horrible and didnot want to take me. So, I changed the hostel and book this "Hostel Near The Square" instead at the same date at 6.50 AM and went to check in at 7.00 AM. The host was sleeping but she wake up with her smile and service mind attitude to take me in the building and take my reservation immediately. I booked female dorm for cheap price but in the end, I got the entire dorm to myself because she managed it for me for free without my requested. They were really nice, it was a bit cold in the room because it is the basement floor but in the end I got the heater equipment into my room and the night went great afterward. Thank you so much for your kind and excellent service! Nothing really! The place was clean and nice staffs but maybe a small point as the room is at basement floor, I guess.
