What a fabulous historical building! Truly a national treasure! And situated in the heart of Thamel. Staff were so kind and responsive to my requests.
-
It’s authentic, rooms are quiet, service is great and also the food I liked everything
-
Clean premises and, very accommodating staff. Good location.
-
Beautiful hotel, felt like living in a palace Nil
-
Add ons were a bit expensive - breakfast and taxis.

The building is very ancient, if with good team to run it, it will be a great hotel. And the location is near to Thamel. 1. There are stains on the sofa. 2. There are yellow stains inside the toilet bowl. 3. There are bloodstains on the shower curtain.

Service was wonderful, from check in to dining across the board. Food was delicious for lunch and dinner, we didn’t have breakfast, Nothing.
-
It was so calm and peaceful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful ?✨

Good location, quite and interesting building. Dark and cold rooms. You could not read a book in the room as there was not enough light. No heat in the room. Cold taking a shower or trying to sit in the room.
-
Great location in the heart of an older part of the city. I liked the yoga on the roof, the breakfast buffet, and the free walking tour. I can’t think of anything

The Kantipur Temple House is a wonderful oasis while traveling internationally. The staff are what make this place special: they are warm, friendly, and helpful. We are at the restaurant many times and the food is excellent. The location is within walking distance of all the local attractions in Thamel. I liked this place so much that when I had an unexpected extra day before my departure home, I came back so I could see everyone and enjoy the entire experience one more time!

The building is beautiful. The location is good because even though it's in Thamel, it's on a quieter street with many other hotels. They have a restaurant on-site. They try to be environmentally friendly and have filtered water and don't use single use plastics. The room didn't meet my expectations. The bed was very hard and the bedding wasn't decorated like in the photos. It was a cheap blanket on top of the sheets. I could smell smoke inside my room on the first afternoon but not after that. I'm not sure if it was coming from the hallway our outside, but I closed the window the rest of the time to be safe. There is no way to put a do not disturb sign on the door and I was taking an afternoon nap and they staff knocked to ask if I needed more waterz which was annoying. The shower was hot but the shower curtain was useless because at full pressure the water sprayed out of the shower area. It may as well have just been a wet bathroom. Also for almost $70/night a place describing itself as a boutique hotel couldn't even provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. They claim to be environmentally friendly but bar soap is super bad for the environment because most guests don't stay long enough to use even half the bar, and then it gets thrown away. Refillable containers with liquid soap, bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner would be the eco-friendly way to go here. Also I didn't look closely enough and I thought I booked a room.wotj an air conditioner but it turns out I didn't. Even though the weather was nice for most of my stay, it did get a little bit warm in the morning because the sun comes in, even with the curtains closed. It was tolerable warm though. And I couldn't leave the window open in case the smoke smell was coming from outside. If you get a room here for a good price it would maybe be worthwhile for a couple of nights for the atmosphere. But I am sure there are better accommodations. I probably wouldn't stay here again tbh. Too many other choices.

You can feel a spirit of respect for tradition in every detail. Despite being in the midst of the city’s hustle and bustle, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The staff were very kind and friendly, which was a great help to us since we were traveling with a small child. We were able to enjoy dinner in a calm atmosphere, and the food was delicious—we felt completely relaxed. I’d love to recommend this place to friends, and I want to come back again. Nothing

The hotel is a gorgeous building. The rooms with brick walls and wood floors look down on a beautiful, quiet inner courtyard. The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet and dinner were both excellent and include traditional Nepali as well as Western menu items. No elevator, just a walk up some nice marble stairs. If you want a television, air conditioning, refrigerator, electric kettle or microwave in your room, you'll have to go elsewhere. (There is wifi and a fan in the room, so you'll still be connected and cool.) The bed was comfortable. Public areas (lobby, stairways, hallways, etc.) all very clean. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided daily. The jug of fresh water refilled whenever needed (and during room cleaning) was part of their stated commitment to reducing plastic use. The hotel was nearly silent at night despite being within walking distance of the Thamel chaos. Overall a relaxing, comfortable, very pleasant stay.

Clean Too close to the commercial property

Spacious, clean, friendly, authentic and budget friendly, without hesitation, the best option, no need to look for any other place! The family room 306 was extremely big and looking over an authentic courtyard. A clear 10/10! Really considering the other options, nothing.

We were in the heart of Kathmandu in a property that obviously is authentic and has been a quality hotel for some time. It is showing its age and is not a 5 star facility. But, it is comfortable, the food there is very good, the staff is excellent and the facility is well managed. I recommend it for people who are willing to enjoy the history and location and are not expecting pretentiousness in their hotel. It is also a spot in the city with a nice private courtyard away from the motor scooters and crowds; a very nice, quiet place to kick back and enjoy your favorite beverage and some snacks in comfort with great service. The facility is getting older and some of the maintenance on the exterior has been neglected, mainly at the roof level. The facility has excellent "bones" and is ripe for an investor to renovate and elevate the hotel to a top quality destination IMHO.

The design of the property was beautifully authentic

only have a small soap in the bathroom, no other item for clean
