We cannot say enough great things about this hotel! We informed staff it was our 40th anniversary trip and they outdid themselves in making this stay welcoming for us! We had high expectations as we had never stayed in a five-star hotel and staff way exceeded those expectations! They upgraded us to a room facing the playa with a balcony, decorated the room with rose petals and a balloon, and left complimentary champagne and chocolates. Slippers and plush robes were provided! A band played below two of the three nights we were there, and we had such a great time dancing on the balcony. The pillows had different thickness and the beds were superbly comfortable. The bathroom was immense and gleamed in white and blue tile, and was immaculately clean. It included a double sink! The lobby is filled with artsy statutes and busts. There is a lending library. A small pool and sauna is available for use if you don’t want to swim at the beach in the ocean. We paid for the breakfast and found it well worth it. It included champagne, need we say more…?! Staff was so courteous when we had questions. We were planning to go into den Haag but ended up just staying at the hotel; it was that great! In forty years of traveling, this is the finest hotel experience we have had! Nothing.

Great location near the beach and restaurants. Large rooms for family. Elevators were broken. Could not bring kids to pool facilitate before the late check-in time.

Good location, sophisticated interior, and nice breakfast. Staffs at the front-desk are not well-trained.

The biggest issue was the communication before our arrival. I had booked two rooms, but the hotel repeatedly believed I had booked three rooms. There were multiple emails back and forth trying to resolve the mistake, which took up unnecessary time and caused frustration. I thought everything had been sorted before we arrived, but at check-in the receptionist again mentioned three rooms and even had to go to the back office to confirm the reservation. I was also charged city tax for three people instead of the correct number. I was told they would look into refunding the overcharged amount, but as of now I have not received the refund. Breakfast was another disappointment. We had a reservation for 7:00 a.m., yet the breakfast buffet was still being set up when we arrived. Staff were still arranging the food, and later someone came to our table to ask for our names. For €35 per person, I expected a much better experience. The selection of cereals was very limited, and the coffee was extremely bitter. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent, the architecture of the historic building is beautiful, and having access to the swimming pool is a nice bonus. Overall, while the hotel itself has many attractive features, the poor communication, check-in confusion, unresolved overcharge, and underwhelming breakfast made this stay far less enjoyable than expected. I hope the hotel improves these aspects, as it has the potential to provide a much better guest experience.

    Location

The rooms are small, toilet is poor matras is old and with a hole

The seagulls were all over the balcony so you couldn’t go outside. The staff wasn’t helpful with reservations for dinner or at the spa. The facilities were old and not so clean. There was also a very loud wedding. Too expensive for the quality in my opinion.

We liked the indoor swimming pool very much. We enjoyed the personal attention to detail. Especially Jada at the guest relation desk, took time to welcome me and my granddaughter . Such a surprise to find ballons and chocolates in our room later for her 10th birthday. A highlight of our stay. Thank you Jana and staff of Amrath Kurhaus we had a lovely time. The signage to get to the indoor pool could be better.

A very beautiful hotel on a beautiful location by the Sea. Inside the hotel is very beautiful with many artistic statues and other arts we really admire. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcomed by them and we’re able to check in earlier. We have booked a Superior Double Room with Sea view, the room is very spacious, comfortable and clean, we slept well on the bed too. Even it was a one night stay, we will definitely return again in the future to this hotel. None

I loved this hotel. I chose to stay near the coast and this hotel as it looked amazing at a reasonable rate. Turned out to be a great decision. A simple tram ride to city center, but the pleasure of staying by the ocean. Boardwalk just out the back of the hotel, an immense sandy beach, and the ocean. I was told late April was a good time. Weather was a bit chilly, but without the crowds of summer. The room could not have been more comfortable, bed excellent, bathroom roomy and up to date. The buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had with so much to choose from that it was near impossible. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others. Nothing, This is a great hotel.
