Stay was comfortable and exceeded our expectation in terms of quality of stay. Cleanliness, comfort and staff behaviour was excellent. The food variety and quality was to our liking. Room was clean, well maintained and spacious. From family and vacation point of view, the facilties for entertainment could be better.

Good location next to market street, so we could just walk to nearby restaurants and spice shops. Rooms were maintained well and clean. Staff were kind when we needed assistance.

The real issue with boking this place was complete lack of intelligent customer service about the status of the reservation and payment. Although this was booked through Booking.com with a cancelable period (I had no intention to cancel) the hotel demanded payment through their own links. Credit card payments did not work. I had to pay cash by bank transfer. After that was paid, they kept asking for payment again and again. If I replied, a bot would reply asking for evidence. When I sent evidence, the bot would reply evidence was missing. In the meantime, some fraudster got my booking information and managed to get a false charge applied in the name of the Sterling booking to my credit card. I had to cancel and replace the credit card. Multiple specific inquiries about the booking went unanswered. Nobody could be bothered to answer my specific question. It was only slightly better with a separate booking in Sterling Munnar. When I tried to reach them my phone, after I held on for minutes following their AI nonsense, someone just picked up the phone and slammed it down. Happened several times. I will studiously avoid anything branded Sterling. No problem with any other hotel booking I made in India via Booking.com or its counterparts. Intelligent customer service. One of the showers in the rooms we used gave rusty water. Our room was not availble till 3 and we had to wait although check in time was 2pm.

Sterling resorts are high quality. I would choose the brand in future knowing to expect an exceptional stay.

Family with 3 children (6,9,11) The rooms are spacious and clean although the sheets and towels provided need updating. The mini bar did not work properly. Regarding the safe, it is not attached to the wall and they needed to replace it. The breakfast is good and varied and mainly suitable for the local diner. The staff should be positively mentioned, who did everything to satisfy our needs and prepare food to the children's taste. Cons - Loud music in the evening from a nearby entertainment venue. l liked it that but was close to the boat ride and they provided some rides front desk staff as soon as I walked in for check in had some serious attitude, he was so disrespectful also booking.com said one price and they took extra claiming it’s taxes. that never happens at other sterling property I stayed in. regardless staff really was an issue and also the bed was so old it felt like you were sleeping in rock. I had 3 privilege suite. with the money I spend there they should have better staff and good comfortable bed. even the linens were so old it was rough to touch. terrible place 0 for everything. I could not sleep.

Nice hotel. Noisy. A party late into the night played loud deep bass music which almost made our bed vibrate! Kept us awake. Other guests were too noisy, in the lobby and in the restaurant. Staff were not trained to manage them. We expected the resort hotel which was Sterling Thekkady when we visited some years ago, but instead found what should probably be described as a business class hotel in a resort town! Will not go to Sterling again.

The location was close to the town. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Would probably rate it a 3 or 2.5 star at most. Food was terrible with not many choices. The staff seemed disinterested when we needed help.On the very last day we had multiple power outages and the water was a brownish yellow colour. When we informed staff they did not care.
