Roundtop Mountain Vista - Cabins and Motel

We had no way to get into our room when we arrived. The sheets were so dirty we had to sleep on top of them. The property is very old and needs a lot of upkeep.

We had to call to get someone to get us and other guests checked in. The cabin was dirty! The floor around the toilet needed repair, cold water only in the shower, cabinet doors were falling off the cabinets. Overall, terrible condition. I will never stay there again and I will tell anyone who asks to not stay there.

Dirty floors, spoiled half and half no place to sit and eat no one to get more towels. No one there period. Sheets kept coming off the bottom of the bed.

Other than than not bad

The small microwave was in a dark corner with the little refrigerator. This place has been here for years but never updated since the 50s, I think. Too bad they haven't kept up the place.....

Clean and very quiet. Relaxing

We left 15mins after checking in.

Old, rickety, horrible bed. No hot water — slightly better than lukewarm. Interent wouldn't work 2nd day/night, electrical plugs were so old they barely head a plug. Lighting is poor. Manager was very nice, but too talkative— super hyper.

Beds were super comfortable, owner was very understanding and accommodating. No real issues or concerns with the property. Last minute stay and was perfectly fine

It worked fine for what we needed. The staff was accommodating and found us an outlet to plug our boat into.

Someone else’s bar of bath soap was left in the shower - nasty. Indicates level of cleaning between occupants. We also rented a room, in addition to the cabin. There was no bureau, no closet or hangers, there was a hole in the wall & the shower leaked horribly between the shower wall & sink. The room was advertised as having a king bed (check) & a single pull out bed/chair (absent). When asked about the (needed) chair/fold out bed, we were told the “some kid peed on it & I had to scrub it. It’s on that cabin porch over there if you want it but it’s heavy & I can’t move it”. I’m not making this up. For the price we paid for the room & cabin, I absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The dinosaur bone dig (at the Dinosaur Center) that our grandson did for a day was awesome, though! That, I would highly recommend, but NOT the Mountain View Cabins & Motel

the facility is run down and needs several repairs. The building is falling apart.

The property has good bones but you needed to look past the trash under the bed, gum on the wall, sticky cups, dirty coffee pot.

The motel was a real mixed bag. We picked it due to its proximity to the hot springs. And it is close. However, there is a motel and a few small cabins on the site. Almost all of the pictures are of the cabins. The motel is an older, drive up motel. The rooms were clean, and the wifi and air conditioning works. The rooms are haphazardly furnished, and there aren’t very many plugs. However, the family living onsite is obviously in conflict, and listening to them fight and argue negatively impacted our stay.

Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Loved the coffee maker. Loved cleanliness of the room, bed was super comfy Small bathroom and shower, no air-conditioning. No ice machine

Not much to like TV did not work, AC was swamp cooler. No controls for that, it ran all night. By morning it was down to 60 degrees in room. The shower was leaking and went all over the floor. I think it ha dbeen running for several days. The bathroom foor was sticky. The carpets were filty. we would not walk anywhere in the room without slippers on feet.

The staff was not very helpful, not very friendly. The stove didn't work and there were no dishes.

Place has gone downhill!! Earwigs every where , looks run down. Staff were rude.

They did not change the sheets, they had hair in between the flat and fitted white stuff on the fitted. It was dirty, there was a old pair of socks in the bathroom and used toothbrush and toothpaste. The tub was dirty. To say the least I payed for the room u would think they would put clean sheets on the beds after the last guest. I canceled the next night I could not stay another night.

Everything about our mini weekend vacation was amazing. The cabin was so cozy and felt like a home not just a sterile hotel. Being there was like being part of its own little community. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back frequently.
