The location and the vibe at the pool was very nice. The breakfast was good. The room is old and the beds are very uncomfortable! A lot of mosquitoes. No beach towels provided. The worst beds I have slept in a long time.

Nice swimming pool and bar I didn't like the fact that one was not free to go to have breakfast whenever they liked, indeed one had to communicate this to the reception the evening before. I would have liked to have a desk/table in my room but there was none, even though there was plenty of space.

Location is great, it's near enough to easily access the centre, but just far enough away to be quiet. The pool is really good. Poolside service was great, but the food was only so-so. Very sparcely furnished room with rather tatty furniture. Only one, very thin, pillow provided, although room service was very quick when we requested more.

The hotel is located on the main street of Pipa but has a quiet location. It's just a 10 ten minutes walk to the center of Pipa. Our room was large and spacious, had a balcony and was very basic equipped, considering the price. The rooms are in separate buildings in a wonderful garden with a large swimming pool. Our room was very quiet and we slept well. Shower and toilet are each in separate compartments in the room. The water basin is within the room which we didn't like. Bed ok but only one thin sheet and no mattress protection. Mattress rather used. Sheets and towels were rather used, too. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant. Good breakfast. Strong WiFi throughout the hotel.

The most depressing hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Worse than a hospital, no decorations, not a comfortable welcoming environment, makes the hotel seem super cheap. glad I only stayed 1 night.

Great breakfast & far enough away from the crowds at Pipa for a nice relaxing getaway. There's really nothing I could've wanted more from our stay at Sun Bay. While I liked that it was far from the night life crowds, it would have been great to be a little closer to a beach. You really need to drive to get to any of the good ones, which was a bit of a bummer.

Breakfast was ok, good variety of food, juices and coffee. But there was usually a long line for the tapioca as there was only one person making them. The staff was friendly and polite. And the feijoada was really great! Although we had to wait until 2pm for check in, the room wasn't properly clean, with a lot of sand on the floor. The mattress was hard and the sheets were stained and smelled like mold. The shower didn't heat properly. Everything had to be done via Whatsapp as they don't have a telephone or intercom in the rooms. But them the internet was really slow. They had a system for breakfast where you'd get a color band depending on the hour you wanted to eat (like 8, 9 or 10 am), but that wasn't enforced properly, so people ignored it and it was a whole mess. The restaurant prices were a bit expensive IMHO.

Room: Very basic, despite the hydro in the bedroom. Poor maintenance. Needs repairs, and lots of TLC around the property. A bit of care. Pool: Excellent! And the fact there are other pools in the Resort, makes a difference too. Just disliked the loud music. Breakfast was quite okay. Indeed a variety of food. Most of the staff were great and very friendly and kind. One or another did not have the same friendliness, though. I guess it lacks good management. A better and more personal approach to the clients would have been nice. Plus, it needs maintenance around the complex. Take a look! The garden was nice.
