The inside of the casules make alot of noise if you bump into the wall. I move while I sleep and got startled quite a few times bumping into the wall. The pillows they give you are also rock hard but for the price of the hotel I cant complain too much just bring your own pillow.

I have stayed here many times now. It's in a super convenient location (Kabukicho) near Shinjuku Station and has very clean, beautiful facilities. Although it's location is in a very busy part of town, all the floors of the building are actually very quiet, especially at night when sleeping. Shower facilities are great and available for use at a cheap (200 yen) price. The free drink bar and soft-serve ice cream near the front counter is an added bonus. Although I myself am not a manga (comic book) fan, there are tons of manga available to read for free. Not much to say in the way of negatives. The staff don't really speak any Englilsh, but they use their smartphones as a translation device and that seems to work fine when there are questions from guests. (I speak Japanese but have noticed the interactions of other guests.) The capsule itself is only about 1.9m (6 ft. 3 inches), so it's impossible for a tall guy like myself to sleep completely straight without my feet sticking out of the capsule a bit. I usualy just sleep diagonally or bend my knees a bit to get around that. Sometimes there is other people's snoring as a noise issue, but overall most of the guests are always very quiet and respectful of the space.

The facilities and stay were good for the cost, but the staff were *exceptionally* rude. There are a lot of rules that they are quite strict on. Upon leaving, I wanted to get water for my water bottle. I was told I could not fill water into my water bottle. This was after I was initially told I could not have any water at all until I tried to reason with them. I then asked if I could go to the bathroom to fill my bottle with tap water and was repeatedly told me no. I was a little late upon checkout but had paid the late fee and was rushing so don’t feel the hostile attitude was necessary. I hadn’t caused problems during the stay so I didn’t feel the lack of hospitality was warranted. Other interactions with all staff members who wore glasses were just as abrasive. The women and other male staff members seemed fine. Otherwise, I had attempted to book another night. The hostel was not fully booked, and I wanted to extend my visit. They couldn’t extend the stay through anything but the online app. I was told that if I extended I’d need to leave and check back in, despite other staff allowing me to extend without this protocol initially. The staff. 30 minute showers each cost an initial fee.

We like that they have free drinks and ice cream We don’t like the oldest staff you have there. He works day shift. His approach to the guests is rude and slams things in front of us. He is not friendly at all.

I mean it’s close to the train/metro station. Basically everything else I didn’t like. Capsule doesn’t lock, light from the hallway shines through the door, no soundproof. Shower costs money. Also, I checked out and went to sit in one of the chairs only to tie my shoes and leave. The lady came over and told me I checked out and was not allowed to sit in the chair anymore or use any other of the facilities. I mean, what an absolute joke of a place.

Location was decent Zero hospitality at check-in, very rude staff. Enjoy the symphony of alarms that go off between 5:30-10am. Check out is 10am, we returned our keys at 9:50 an sat in the common area for a cup of coffee, when 10am hit the bell they told us we are not allowed to finish our drink and “The space is completely off limits to us” no hospitality. Then I used the common area bathroom before a days travelling, and on my way out they tried to charge us a fine for staying 5 minutes past check out time. This place is good for one reason. Tokyo is expensive this place is the cheapest. Pay for what you get.. Cheap stay cheap hospitality. Sad people.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

The floor with capsules beds has, does not WiFi. Its only at the reception floor. Which is very annoying

Can't keep luggage early or late. Man at check.in very mean but he is old, the younger workers are all nice

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

    Great location. Clean and comfortable

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

Most except staff and elevator which only accessible from 7floor where reception is. Staff, esp the older man as rude as other comments. Younger staff seem influenced by him as they aren’t as nice as those in other hostels though not as stiff and bad as him yet.

The price is why I chose it. When I arrived it was very clean. They had an assortment of drinks for free I.e soda, juice, expresso machine that was nice. Sleeping in a capsule was a neat experience. I felt cozy in it. This property is VERY close to the Kabukicho Tower where you can get a bus ticket back to Haneda airport. When you buy a 30 minute shower pass ( I paid 200¥) you better be ready to go straight to the shower, take your shower and come straight back down to the counter or they will charge you 300¥ for being over 30 minutes. Also, the women’s bathroom had a constant bad smell to it. They provided a room spray which helped some. There is NO ELEVATOR, so you can leave your suitcases with them or you will need to carry them up 1 flight of stairs. There’s a women’s side and a men’s side which is nice but male staff came in and I didn’t like that at all. They had female staff on the site. If there’s an emergency ok, but not to just walk through.
