Unfortunately we had to switch rooms a few times because the ones we had smelled like cigarette smoke.

Everything Nothing

Next to, yet completely far, from Shinjuku noise. Excellent breakfast
-
Great location in Sinjuku right on the subway station. Great lobby in Gatsgy style, comfy rooms and panoramic elevators. The staff was excellent even if they don't speak English well but the Italian barista Fabio Auteri is probably the nicest person there. Although the weather was hot and humid the climate was brutal. Nights are the problem because you cannot open windows. Weekend days hurry on breakfast of you'll end in a line.

Noise from room next floor
-
Excellent location considering it is walking distance to some attractions and right above the metro line.

Nice room. Spacious bathroom. Check in staff were nice and helpful. 1. The hotel is so far away from Shinjuku Station. There is shuttle. But it took long time to get to JR lines. 2. We booked non-smoking but there was smell of smoke. We went to city walk after check in and got back late. Too tired to change. 3. Small breakfast area with limited selection. Very crowded in the morning after 9AM. Also I can’t believe they don’t serve Japanese curry. 2. Worst staff I’ve ever met. It was at bar in lobby. One night I had to join a remote global meeting. My family were resting in our room. There is no business center in hotel. So I had to take the call in lobby, not sitting in the center but one of three tables aside, 5 meters away from lobby center. It was late night. I went to bar trying to order a cup of sour. I asked one staff in bar for menu, went thru the menu but cannot find sour or Japanese cocktails. When I asked the staff, she showed a fake smile and said it is not on menu. Then she asked me what sour I wanted. Then long or short. When I asked for price, she said JPY 2800. I said wow that is a lot. She said because it is not on the menu ( with creepy fake smile). That is ridiculous! Then I decided to get a cup of juice. Because I was sitting aside not in the middle in lobby, she said only to go cup not glass. What the hell? I’ve been traveled to Japan four times. Every time I stayed in hotel from USD300 to USD 500, depending on location. This is the first time I had such a bad service. I will never return to this Hyatt and I do not recommend it to anybody.

The hotel is beautiful, and we had a great view of the park. The staff were incredible and helpful. We loved the limousine bus that goes to and from the airport every hour and the free shuttles to shinjuku station. It is in a beautiful quiet part of Shinjuku, and found the best coffee spot walking distance (Paul Bassett!). We were sad to have only stayed here for one night, definitely worth the money! There is an incredible amount of restaurantes and bars in the hotel which we didn't get to try unfortunately. The beds were the most comfortable out of all of our stays. That our stay wasn't longer!

Room was comfortable. Lack of seating in the lobby.
-
Very good location near the train station and parks. The music in the lobby and main restaurant was loud and inescapable. It was even piped into the elevators
-
The room is comfortable and offers an amazing view. The metro station is within easy walking distance, and there is a convenient store right downstairs. I especially loved the sensory light and sound tunnel leading to the breakfast area. It made every morning feel like a special experience!

Shinjuku is a great launching pad into Tokyo. The hotel is fairly close to everything. Its a business hotel but good for pleasure travelers. The 7-11 downstairs is great. We got hooked on it. The renovated rooms are beautiful with a modern but Japanese vibe. Wish the bar was on the top floor first a view.

Very clean, perfect location to explore Tokyo. Didn’t allow to get to-go for the breakfast as we had an early morning flight. I don’t recall this kind of restrictions from any other hotel as the customer has paid for the breakfast. Ridiculous. I didn’t fight it as I was against the clock for my international flight. Huh.

Location, bedrooms, food Breakfast was horribly busy and food often cold
